AVOID! Nothing is okei on this place! I have been in hundreds of hostels and this is my firsts bad review as I am normally quite understandable but this one… really AVOID

Owner is just about lies and stories to make you spend money there ( like another places are closed which are not, other things are busy so you have to blablabla which is not true , and on and on and on ) literally, everything that you heard there do not believe it as later you always realise that it was not true , at least in our case. You feel like he wants you there just to take as much money as he can from you. If you want to check out and leave the bagsbat the hostel for a couple of hours before you take a bus or whatever.. each bag is 10 euros ! Each bag! For a couple of hours of luggage storage after sleeping there! walls are not until the top, like open at the top.. which means that you hear everyone else in their other rooms but also in the toilet! Hear and smell and it is like you are in the same room…. Dirty! Everything is completely dirty but everything, entrance, rooms, toilets, showers. Like they have not been cleaned in months. No common areas in the hostel The most incredible thing is … outside door is shut during the night. Which means that you are there with no option of leaving the hostel ( no option, even if something happened during the night. As door is locked and nobody is there ) this is not even normal and it should not be legal. Really AVOID! REGARDING HIS REPLY TO THIS: at the time we were FOUR people on the whole hostel one travelling with me ( and also thinking the same) other two going for dinner and drinks and walks with us ( and also hating the place and the service and being there) As I said, everything there is about LIES I have never in the past put a bad review to a place, ( I have travelled in tons of hostels around the world) but I never saw anything like this. If you go there just be aware that anything that they tell you is just not true (probably not true)

The employee is a good "fairy tale teller" ... he makes an elephant out of every mosquito instead of being of service! No hygiene!

- good location: near the port of ferry (20 min my foot); bus stop opposite of hostel; 10-15 min to the sea. - very hospitable owner of hostel

- between all rooms is not isolation

styliano was super kind! He gave me a warm welcome with his honey ginger liquor ! he was waiting for me despite my late check in . he also helped me look for someplace where to eat during holly friday! As I was going out ver early he gave me some instructions on how to leave in my own

beds are not very comfortable and sheets need a change 😬

The owner was nice and had good knowledge about the area.

Didn't like that the whole hostel consists of just one room because all the walls don't go up till the roof. So felt like there was no privacy. I didn't get a key for the entrance nor had I free access to the fridge which I found to be really strange in a hostel. There was no kitchen for cooking as advertised. Also I had a horrible night because mosquitos kept on coming. I already killed 10 of them but because the room isn't closed I couldn't do anything about it.

The owner. He ask me if I like go with him to sauna "downstairs the hostel" and drink wine. I was alone in the ghest house. What else?

Nothing at all, he is just telling you how cheap you are paying and almost forcing you for donations and pay more if you dont like what you got, so why he offers a low budget bed if he doesn't like backpackers, I don't know

The worst place I was in my life, since I arrive I felt like in a gulag, everything you do or say is a problem, he can hear all because the walls are of paper and no roof, all dirt around, he ask me to come after 6 pm and leave before 8 am, am I paying for that!!! The shared kitchen is a lie, he is always there looking what you do and don't allow you to touch anything, the showers cold, he said that he have solar panels and so in the morning forget about showering, leave early because he have to take care of his olives, or DON'T GO THERE AT ALL!!!

The owner tries to be friendly and helpful. Located on the main road of Kissamos, it is easy to find and opposite a bus stop. The welcome limoncello is the best of part of the stay. I was alone or almost alone (otherwise it would be hell).

The hostel downstairs is not really a hostel, it is a big open space with doors but without completed walls, so you can hear every noise (the traffic from the main road, the music that the owner plays, the guests from the next room, the chats from the bar, the romantic affair between the owner and one of the guests...); I had mosquitos biting me both nights; the lighting is controlled externally so during the night is difficult to get to the toilet; only 3 plugs for the room. The bathrooms are old, faulty and dirty. The place is a bit chaotic and needs an urgent uplift and spring cleaning.

Breakfast was.. okay. I liked the owner - super nice. Just be prepared, he sells tours and stuff so just keep it in mind. He's definitely a character. The facilities were definitely lacking, but at the end of the day I was able to do what I needed. The rooms are open and the walls dont connect to the ceiling so you can hear everything and everyone shares one light lol. It was interesting. If you are someone who doesn't need much and you just need a place to shower and sleep, this will probably be the best bang for your buck, especially in this area. The owner was nice enough to give me a ride to the ferry I took as well. Very nice guy :)

I was solo backpacking, so I really don't need much, but man, the facilities are in desperate need of updating. Didn't like the open concept rooms, but all in all I got everything I needed, so it's not a huge deal.

Lovely stay at this place. A very nice and helpful host. The hostel is very well located, close to the beach, public transport and shops. I recommend it and I will be happy to go back there 😊

The host is perfect. Super position and terrace with a view. Everything perfect. The host kindly waited for our ferry to dock at midnight.

Hostel was completely block booked after my reservation and therefore myself an others were relegated to a basement area. Not anything like as advertised and so was poor value for money. One night was enough.

Stylianos is an excellent host, who helped us with everything, even brought me to the hospital, as i hurt my foot. We learned a lot about Kissamos' Miracles, Crete and of course about Olives, always with a lot of laughs! We first planed to stay 2 nights, we ended up staying around 10 to 15 nights. Never saw such a perfect shared kitchen, probably even better than our own one. The terrace is really nice as well! We'll definitely come back. We had a great time, thanks a lot, Stylianos!
