There are very few places I would describe as perfect - but Genevieve's attention to detail in the interiors, exteriors and presentation and delicious breakfast make it a special stay that we will all (ourselves and two daughters, staying in the spacious top suite) remember forever. The small village setting is also beautiful with several gorgeous restaurants and amazing views, which all feels off the beaten track. I would recommend to anyone!

Superior accommodation - more like a boutique hotel than a B&B. Clean, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing, the owner’s design work sets this gem apart. The breakfast is a work of art. The location in the lovely village can’t be topped. Our only complaint? We could only stay one night. Superb!

WOW - this is our second visit to La Maison and we could not wait to come back and meet the wonderful, elegant host Genevieve again. Nowhere we have ever stayed (and we travel a lot) compares to the uniqueness of La Maison. The soothing and curious interiors that keep you double looking to discover new things in your room, the most delicious and epic breakfast spread you've ever had, the fairy tale setting in the village and the utter kindness and professionalism of your host. La Maison rivals the best boutique hotels in the world, see for yourself, it's no exaggeration. Oh, and just when you thought it couldn't get any better, car parking is really easy right out the front and the surrounding restaurants are walkable and superb.

Just WOW!! What a fabulous place. The interior design and architecture is just stunning. We had a huge room, with absolutely impeccable decor and cleanliness. Genevieve the host was absolutely wonderful. So welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. She helped book us restaurants on both nights and served the most outstanding breakfast in the morning. It was a work of art and utterly delicious! The hotel is also in a beautiful village perche with the most stunning basilica on top of it. So thrilled to have found both the village and the hotel. Thank you for such a fabulous few days.

I am only sad that we had to leave!

The host Genevieve was very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and she helped us in so many ways. Our room was stunning and had all of the facilities that you would need. Very spacious too. The breakfast was the best I've ever had in accommodation like this. Lots of home made elements and we sat in beautiful surroundings. We left very early the next day and didn't want to miss out on the breakfast, so Genevieve made us a picnic to take with us - so kind of her, it even included some home made cake!

Great location, fabulous hostess, and above expectations room and all this with a first class service from our hostess. Staying here was just a lovely experience.

Having worked all my life with 5-star hotels and luxury brands, to say that this property was exceptional is an understatement! We so enjoyed our visit to Penne D’Agenais and we were warmly welcomed by the wonderful owner. The room we stayed in was so elegant; contemporary French styling but with beautiful touches of the owner’s personality too. We also enjoyed the fantastic breakfast(home-made and elegantly presented).Everything was truly 5-star and we loved, loved, loved it!

The most incredible B&B I’ve ever stayed in. Every corner of the place is finished to perfection. The breakfast is exceptional and handmade by owner Genevieve who is the perfect host. Absolutely could not fault it. Will return with out a doubt!

There are some places more magical then others. maison sur la place is one of them. From the first moment I entered the house I was immediately amazed by the beauty of the interior and by the nicest hostess Geneviève. She welcomed us with open arms we immediately felt at ease and at home. The rooms were very quiet, cozy and clean! With respect for the authenticity of the building and the environment. I had all the creature comforts we needed!

As always amazing property and breakfast. We keep coming back !!!
