A lovely home on Moorea, you feel very private at a great spot for the sundowner. The outdoor kitchen is magic, drinking your coffee watching out to the sea, amazing. Don’t forget your mosquito repellent, we had many many bites unfortunately. Near by you can rent a scooter for trips around the island and you have a great supermarket nearby.

The main bed could also have a mosquito net, but was all great, thank you so much!

The location is great. On the water with good snorkelling straight off the beach and free use of kayaks. It was a little home away from home.

It was a cute little private bungalow on beautiful grounds. There's a market walking distance from the property and a great little snack shack close by as well.

The mattress was a little uncomfortable, but the air conditioning in the bedroom was really nice.

Since we were there for a week we should have had a clean half way, New towels etc and a clean. The kitchen could use a update of supplies.

based on booking.com I booked one room with sea view for a lot of money - so I expected it to be quite luxurious- turns out is a big villa - with the living room closed but 2 bed rooms- which I did not needed - level is not luxurious- average- cleaning is one’s a week - not enough! so from my perspective it’s overpriced unless you are a family and get the whole villa for what I paid . it’s not clear on booking .com - in addition the last 2 days a lot of maintenance work was going on - noise and lost privacy.

We booked two of the 4 villas for our family of 5. Both had garden setting with easy access to the water and little beach Infront of the property. We love being able to cook for ourselves whilst away and both had nice kitchens with adequate tools and utensils but unfortunately no oven only microwave. AC was great and we used it most nights to sleep to escape the humidity of the wet season. Plenty of room and we rested well on every night of our stay. Vana and Suzanne were really lovely along with Pervange (sorry if spelling is incorrect) was very sweet and attentive. We had a lovely stay at Poerani and would happily return to Moorea and Poerani again.

Its hard to say what we didn't like because this was exactly what our family needed. Very family friendly safe without the razzamatazz of a hotel or resort. We settled in and felt straight at home. They could have some sort of oven, sharp knives, better quality cutlery, a little more room around some of the beds, but hey we loved our stay.

The location is fantastic... right on a beautiful lagoon, with beach chairs, kayaks and snorkeling equipment available to use. There's a nice, covered patio area, including a big dining table, that overlooked the water, which came in handy when it rained. The shower in the main room was great... can't comment on the one in the second bedroom. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. Easy drive to the Moorea airport and ferry terminal.

We upgraded and added a second room for a friend who decided to join our visit to Tahiti/Moorea. The second room had some minor issues, which were all quickly addressed by the responsive staff (Vanaa and Suzanne). In the rainy season, the grass is saturated and gets muddy, so plan accordingly. Additional steppingstones between the carport and the bungalows might help with that.

The location was great for getting out and seeing the island, yet access to the lagoon was great for when you were on the property.

We felt like home from the moment we stepped in! The managers of Poerani were extremaly welcoming and friendly, they even prepared a surprise for our honeymoon :) We spent there 3 nights, had access to the kitchen, kayaks, sea view from before. Couldnt get any better ! Wholehartedly recommend!!

Hosts, Suzanne and Vanaa were beyond terrific -- bent over backwards to make our stay extra special; very clean Polynesian accommodations with small kitchen; great a/c; comfortable beds; grounds were immaculate; nice lagoon with kayaks available behind the hotel (no beach or pool); nearby grocery where you can get fresh croissants and pan de chocolate every a.m!

As noted in other reviews, you do hear a little traffic noise, but it is very minimal at night

Location and accomodation. Bed was very comfortable. Garden was lovely.

Manager was rude, arrogant and ignorant. There was a pervasive smell of sewage around the property for the whole 3 day stay. The kitchenette had a coral floor which was awful and painful - sand would have been preferable. It was supposed to be private and quiet, but on the second day (after 10 minutes notice) a team of gardeners descended into our space with noisy lawnmower, weed trimmer, and men climbing palm trees to trim branches. Three people swarming over our space for an hour and a half. Outdoor furniture not replaced; we had to do it. Next day (after 2 minutes notice) staff descended to spray the whole garden area outside our space for mosquitoes. A toxic smell ensued and we rushed to close doors and windows. The shower in our ensuite had a glass sliding door into the owners laundry, with no curtain for privacy. We were woken up on departure day at 8.15am by staff asking when we were leaving. We told her 11am as per the checkout time. As our mobile phone provider did not cover French Polynesia, we subsequently asked her if she could ring a taxi for us. She charged us NZ$25.00 to make the call!

The staff was quick to respond and so helpful. The grounds are lovely. The location is great.

Clean, well put together, gorgeous location.

Fantastic place, right on the water. Owners take good care of the garden and land, they have free equipment to use like fins and kayaks, and the staff are super friendly. 2 mins walk to the nearest supermarket and pizza place, and 10 mins walk to scooter rental and tour pickup. Spent so much time just relaxing on the deck at night!

It is a bit of a walk to the nearest public beaches so suggest hiring a car or scooter nearby to get around easier.

We had a wonderful time at Poerani Moorea. The property is located by a beautiful beach where you can swim and snorkle or use their kayaks. The bungalow was clean, well equipped with an air conditioner, kitchenette and was very comfortable for our family of 4! Would definitely recommend it!

We loved our stay at Poerani - The owners put a lot of love for details with plenty of majestic Tikis and a beautifully kept garden. The staff warmly welcomed us. The place was very clean and comfortable. Nice patio area for relaxing in the evening. Option to take a Kayak out. Walking distance to the super market and a lot of restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it!

Where do I start?!! Our hosts were amazing: gracious and helpful, arranged our transport and scooter rentals seamlessly. They showed us around the property and checked in on us daily, not in a snooping way but truly to make sure we had what we needed or wanted. Our garden view bungalow was beautifully decorated and everything worked and had everything we needed to cook meals for ourselves. It was VERY clean, has a great big shower and a great bed and silent A/C in the bedroom. A lovely patio and clothesline of our own were so nice to have. Several kayaks and snorkling gear were available. The location was ideal, a quick cab ride from the ferry. Right at the property was wonderful snorkling and and a gorgeous view of the mountains behind. Within walking distance were several places to eat, get groceries or shop. When in Moorea, we will always stay at Pooerani!
