Super clean and close enough to walk to the shops and restaurants

We've been booking here for many years and it's always been a wonderful space. It's even better now that a few upgrades have been made. It's spacious, always spotless and the neighbours are great. It's right downtown and close to everything you could want while in Salem. The owner and property manager are incredible people who are always responsive and helpful! We highly recommend this condo!

We've stayed many places in Salem over the years and this is one in which we'd surely like to stay again. We enjoyed: The location. The friendly neighbors. The plenty of linens. The A/C units and fans (one day was 98% humidity). The ease of entry. The great kitchen, dining area, and living room. The comfort in general. The ease to find and access extra pillow cases and sheets in the totes (I think there some twin sheets stored in the "double" tote) was great. Some suggestions: Update "sleeping arrangements" pics/description on VRBO listing so folks know there is no longer a bunk in one room, but a single in two bedrooms...nor is there a blow up air mattress we could find. More toilet paper needed. An apology: While taking trash out when cleaning up unit to check out, one of us unknowingly stepped in a pile of dog poo around the trash cans and tracked in poop on their foot...I noticed it on the bathroom rug and alerted everyone to check their shoes! Thankfully we found the culprit, but sorry about the bathroom rug! Yuck! We'd love to rent the unit again next year for our annual Halloween vacation to Salem. Would Oct 20-23, 2023 be available? Thank you.

This is in walking distance of downtown which is great for October when parking is very limited. Spacious apartment is good for a family or a few couples. Keep in mind it’s an old building so walls are thin and neighbors had a party two nights which was very loud for children trying to sleep. Communication with apartment manger was very fast friendly and helpful.

First, the owner was so nice! The property is located so close to the sights of Salem! Everything is walkable. For the attractions, We walked to the Samantha statue, the PEM (the best museum!), the Charter Street cemetery and memorial, Halloween Museum, Count Orlocks, the Salem Witch Dungeon Museum, and the House of the Seven Gables/wharf areas. We took the Salem trolley to further away sights like The Willows. We also did the Black Cat ghost tour which started near the PEM (awesome!) There are so many restaurants in walking distance as well! The Flying Saucer, Gulu Gulus, The Ledger, and so much more! Steve’s Grocery Store is just around the corner for staples like bagels and water. The property itself is so comfortable. Lots of room! A great shower. If you need to cook, the host provides lots of cooking necessities like pots and pans, etc. There is a drip coffee maker. The property provided a great respite between our many adventures. I’m so glad we stayed here- thank y’all so much for having us.

My friends and I went on a girl’s trip, and this property was perfect for us. We loved how it is in walking distance of all the Salem attractions/restaurants. Communication with the owner was very easy. Perfect amount of space. We would love to come back sometime! Thanks so much for the wonderful stay!

We were able to walk everywhere with ease and short distances. We had lots of space for ourselves and our things. There was a convenient grocery store right around the corner so we were able to cook breakfast and snacks most days. The only complaints we have is that the thermostat was not working and we tried to contact the property manager and did not get a response. Also, there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and the bathroom was covered in a thick layer of dust and hair. Considering a cleaning fee is paid, it would have been appreciated to have a cleaner location to go to.

This property was just as described and was in a great location! Everything that we wanted to see in salem was a short walk from our property. Definitely recommend and hope to use again in the future! Neighbors were very nice as well. The upstairs neighbors have small children, so you can hear them running around. So if you are a light sleeper, you may want to bring earplugs if you want to sleep in past 7am.

This was the perfect size condo for my family of 4. It was clean and equipped with everything that you would need for your stay. It was also in walking distance to all the popular sites and attractions in Salem, so that was a major plus! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again!

Clean property, much larger then the pictures let on. Very cozy and centrally located. Host was very accommodating and responded very Quito any questions we had! We will definitely be returning!

Location was perfect. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us. We walked to the train station for an easy trip into Boston. Everything in Salem is just a short walk from the condo. I would recommend this condo for your trip to Salem.

I can't believe it was the last property left in the area when we booked so late and got such a perfect place little hard to find trust your GPS and get out and walk.

We had a great stay in this adorable apartment in Salem! The property is within easy walking distance to all of the Salem attractions and restaurants. It is actually 3 bedrooms (one was attached to the master) which was perfect for our two kids to have their own space. Our favorite restaurants were Bella Verona (EXCEPTIONAL Italian food), The Blue Fez and the Lobster Shack. Thanks for a great vacation!

Very roomy and comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet. It is located in walking distance to many attractions and historical sites.

Property was clean and tidy. Neighbors are a little noisey, but we figured that coming to Salem in October. Great proximity to Downtown Salem. Never used the car. Would highly recommend.

Our family enjoyed a brief weekend stay in the apartment. The rental was clean and well furnished. Very comfortable and plenty if room to accommodate 5 of us comfortably. I would definitely return again in the future.

We have been staying in Salem for years and stayed in this Condo at least 4 times, we Love it! So clean and cozy and the Location is perfect! Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay in Salem - it was Halloween time, so very festive. This apartment is close enough to be walkable to most everything. We were able to get an early arrival at noon. This is an older apartment, the furnishings are definitely rustic. Kitchen is updated and has everything you would need. The bathroom is a closet - not enough hot water and no plug for the tub (we had a toddler who preferred a bath). Bedding was clean - although the pillows have stains and need to be cleaned or replaced. We were cold - directions for setting thermostat were provided but were also complicated. TV is very basic cable and Prime. One TV in apartment. Felt the other residents of the 4 apartment building were permanent and not happy with renters - very noisy. Make sure you take an inventory when you arrive - the owner is refusing to return damage deposit claiming we "stole" a pillow (UGH!) and that someone peed on one of the "dry clean only" bedding and had to be cleaned. Neither of those things happened. I have responded to her allegations but have not had a return response. I would not return to this property.

This was my first time using VRBO and Ellen/Christine made it so easy. They answered every question I had quickly. The place was even bigger in person then it looked online, super clean and comfortable. So close to everything, we walked everywhere. There was a grocery store right around the corner which was convenient. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone.

Owner and property manager were attentive and solved a problem with the internet quickly. Other than that there was nothing to worry about. We love this place. Everything is comfortable, up to date and convenient. Thank you for a great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here while in Salem. Everything was within walking distance that pertained to the rich history Salem offers. The train station is a short walk so we took that into Boston one of our days. We took a 15 minute drive to Marblehead Light another day. The property itself was clean and provided anything we may have needed. The other guests were quiet and courteous. All in all we just had a terrific stay and would recommend it to anyone. Hoping to book here in the future for a longer stay.

5 of us stayed at this apartment over the week of Halloween. We were celebrating my moms 70th birthday and she wanted to celebrate it in Salem for Halloween. The apartment was SO cute and clean, it’s put together perfectly. 5 of us fit into it just fine, one person in each single bed, 2 in the queen, and 1 on the sofa sleeper. The location of the condo could not have been more perfect! It was a maximum 10 minute walk to anything downtown and an easy drive to anywhere else outside of the downtown area. It came with 1 parking spot which was perfect for our rental car. The apartment was stocked with everything that we may have needed which was great. The only complaint from my mom is that the TV only provided basic channels and we couldn’t watch any of the other channels (FX, freeform, TNT, etc) but we were passed our time by talking and playing card games which was a nice bonding time for all of us. Overall we all would absolutely recommend this apartment and it was so pleasant working with Ellen and the property manager, Christine.

My friends and I came into town to explore Salem and Boston for a few days, and this location was perfect. The home is super clean and cozy, the neighbors are friendly, and Ellen is a great host. We took a walking tour, visited The House of Seven Gables, drove into Boston for the Freedom Trail, and had a great time.

This is the third time I have stayed at this condo! I love it and it is in a great location. All the conveniences of home with plenty of extra linens and towels! Very clean and organized, but most of all realaxing! Friendly neighbors too!

Property was very conveniently located. Updated kitchen and nicely sized dining room and living room. One bathroom was difficult with multiple people and neighbors in the apartment above were very noisy, but it was a quiet area otherwise.

Parked the car upon arrival and did not use it again until we packed up to come home. Unit is in walking distance to everything that makes Salem a great destination.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Ellen's condo. The location is within walking distance to all Salem attractions, and Salem is a short drive to many other fun locations - we visited Gloucester, MA; Lexington and Concord, MA; Portsmouth, NH; Concord, NH; and Kittery, ME during our vacation. The condo is very comfortable - 3 bedrooms (2 with twin beds and 1 with a queen bed), dining room, kitchen and living room - all laid out well. My kids enjoyed the wifi and smart TV during evenings. The neighbors are pleasant and I wasn't able to hear them often through the walls. The kitchen is very well equipped. My family manages significant food allergies - so we do a great deal of cooking even on vacation. We were pleased to find that the kitchen contains everything from the basics to a lemon juicer and rolling pin. The only thing I could have used and didn't find is a set of tongs to turn meat or seafood as it cooks - but a fork worked just fine. There were even a few spices though I brought my own. The washer and dryer are a definite plus - makes a longer vacation so much easier. Ellen is very easy to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this condo again in the future.

Quaint and inviting atmosphere that was enjoyed by all. Location was perfect for site seeing in Salem, and that allowed us to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Rooms were all comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The kitchen was stocked with all the extras that you usually don't have in a rental, such as plastic wrap, seasonings, and cleaning supplies...because life happens. The property manager, Christine, was amazing! She was quick to respond to any question or concern that we had, and she passed all communications on to the property owner. She was certain to make sure that we had everything we needed. Our family would definitely stay there again.

The Condo is absolutely gorgeous. It's steps away from anywhere you want to explore in Salem. We didn't get into our car once the whole trip. The place had tons of natural light, beautiful and comfortable sleeping arrangements. Each room is equipped with an air conditioner. The dining room provided many fun dinner nights with the family. The upstairs neighbors are incredibly fun and welcoming! We can't wait to come and stay again!
