Location was good, for what I need it for
Room was basic, window need some TLC , constant buzzing noise form out side . But it is a pub so expect external chiller etc noises
Bed was comfy
Bathroom was modern, but not spotlessly clean , hairs in sink and scale from the plug when used
No form cooling ie air con / fans etc
Requested an Iron & Ironing board which fell apart !
No staff early morning ( 7.30 am ) bar all locked up so had to leave my key in the room as I left

Love this place, we’ve stayed here before on the way from south Wales to Harrogate, and we’ll be back next December. (Very convenient for a stop off at Boundary Mill too!)
The rooms are modern and comfortable, the shower is spacious and the food is very good. We had a delicious evening meal, my husband said the beef and bone marrow burger was exceptional.
Really good value and the staff are lovely too.
Not a complaint just a suggestion, that the curtains could be shorter so that they don’t obscure the radiator.

Room hadn’t been cleaned. Bin still full of rubbish from previous guests.

Rooms are on a main road with traffic noise very high.
Music from the bar below intrusive.

dinner service was slow and food was average. rooms were nice but felt a little dated in parts. toiletries advertised were high end brand but in the bathroom was actually Lidl branded soap.

the staff is fantastic! we stay at Forest a couple of times every year and we feel so welcomed as old friends.
i would hope there is a daily room service

Excellent location with lovely views. Rooms were modern and spacious. Restaurant and bar area was busy but well staffed with attentive and very happy servers. Food choices for the evening meal were very good and everything well presented. Good selection of beers. All in all a great visit.

I was told breakfast started at 08:30 but had a business meeting at 08:00. When I checked out I discovered it was in fact at 07:30.
Room was freezing cold - no heating on.
Iron burnt my shirt.
Err....fine apart from those points.
