The room was clean, quite well equipped and the carpet looked fairly new. We didn't use the coffee machine but again this is a good facility to have available.. The WiFi worked well and I liked being able to use a code to check in. I had a lot of problems completing the online registration to get my room code but when I called the hotel I found them to be helpful in getting things sorted.

I think people need to be aware how poor the soundproofing is, I'm not a really light sleeper but I still struggled to get much sleep thanks to particularly inconsiderate guests. I was kept awake until 2.30 am due to one drunken guest chatting up another guest in I assume the corridor / lounge area. At about 5am I was then woken up again by a loud telephone call from the room next to us. So yes the problem was a lot worse due to the inconsiderate guests but even with considerate guests the lack of soundproofing would have been a bit of an issue. The towels etc looked pretty tired and the bath mat looked very torn and tatty that part is a simple win to put right and would have made a better impression. We were late arriving and unfortunately as the radiator had been left on at the maximum level the room was far too warm. We turned the radiator off straight away but with no windows in the room it never really cooled down enough. I know it's a budget hotel and we were just using it as a place to crash. I didn't expect much but I did expect to sleep and I'm amazed I haven't seen other reviews about the noise. We were in room 12 so maybe other rooms are better for this than ours was.

After a 3 hour drive, arriving at 11pm, not being able to gain access, I didn't like anything about this property. I turned around and drove back home. They reported me as a "no show" but the ring doorbell would tell a different story. Check your booking carefully. Buyer beware.

Everything could have been better. It was a shambles.
