Not proactively being informed about the breakwater construction, and having to complain and advocate for peace on my vacation - two full weeks of respite is what we were seeking and that could not be accomplished here. While not the fault of the owners, it is there responsibility to inform guests of construction. We would have declined this wonderful property during this time had we known. They could have done more to address the situation rather than having us endure the loud and persistent, and unending sound of the excavator moving large rocks - 12 hours per day for 10 days without a break, even Sunday.

The grounds were beautiful. Staff At The Property Was Excellent, but keep in mind they only come every two days.

We had a total of 11 hours travel time that includes time difference and we had to sit outside the gate of the property for an hour waiting for someone to show up to let us in. As soon as we landed and got to the car rental, I started calling the villas property management with zero response that was at 5:40. Prior to our arrival the property asked what time we would be arriving since there is no staff on the premises only during schedule days. I informed them we would be there between 6:30 and 7:00 pm. We arrived at the property at 6:35 and had to sit outside the gate, waiting for someone to answer finally at 7 o’clock management answered and at 7:30. staff showed up to let us in. Tired and hungry, it’s Not a way you want to start your vacation. The furniture is very uncomfortable specially in the kitchen and in the room however, the beds are comfortable. The pool is cold, colder than the ocean. The property sits on the ocean but it’s not a sandy beach. Very rocky. you need to make sure you have everything you need since staff only comes every couple of days. We had ran out of water and toilet paper. Tried to notify management, but with no response, staff showed up two days later on their scheduled day and hooked us up.

Art and artifacts abound, nice remote location. Lovely hacienda and great views! Walk to La Cruz or Bucerias towns not really possible.

Off season staff minimal. Far from town / not walkable.

I'm almost a little afraid to say how nice this place is for fear of it being fully booked the next time I'd like to return! The whole property is wonderful - indoor and outdoor spaces - particularly the pool area and outdoor kitchen. Great art all around and the garden elements on site also add to the beauty.

Next time I'll try to book a unit even closer to the beach - love to hear the waves crashing through open windows one after another all through the night.

Jardins is a piece of paradise. Gorgeous location, landscaping, views, and wonderful guests. The isolation is a bit of an inconvenience. Be prepared to take a cab everywhere. What a wonderful place to relax though. Staff is wonderful.

The isolation was a concern at times but you live with it. To walk to La Cruz is to walk the beach at low tide for 25 minutes. Bucerias is an hour walk along the beach.

Loved the grounds and all the little areas to hang out. Onlydownside was beach walkability. Had to taxi into town but Mario always had the taxi number ready. Would I stay there again? In a heartbeat.

mattress needs upgrade. Maybe golf carts are an option for going into town for short stays?

The view from this resort is breathtaking.

A little hard to get to the town, manageable though and staff more than made up for it.

The hotel and grounds are so beautiful. Every aspect has been thoughtfully and tastefully decorated in a way that big facilities never could. The couple who owns and runs it are very friendly and helpful.
