good location, great views, historic castle close by, easy access to Switzerland, good restaurant, friendly staff.

The location of the Gasthof on the top of Kussaberg is gorgeous with a nearly 360 view on the surrounding hills, and on the very far snowed Swiss Alps. The employees are client friendly and in total this hotel is a very good value for money.

The breakfast was good - in particular the bread - but could be more tasty.

Very scenic location at the top of a small mountain, beautiful garden restaurant. Exceptionally helpful staff who even came to fetch us at the bottom of the mountain when we realised we were too exhausted by the hot weather to pedal up there on our bicycles!! Nice spacious room, comfortable beds (apart from the pillows). Good breakfast.

Only complaint was that the restaurant staff had their social area just below our room and were rather noisy until quite late in the evening.

The quality of the breakfast was good but was offered only starting at 8 am. The room was nice and quiet. I didn't eat at the restaurant but the menu looked very appetizing. Wifi was strong. You felt as if you were in a hotel but also like you were in a large guesthouse. Cosy.

I would have rated my stay even higher had I not been so disappointed with the twin bed in my room. It was not a high quality mattress and I have a bad back. Thank goodness it was just for one night. I didn't like the one packet of soap to wash my hands and to shower.

The Hotel is in a fabulous location, with stunning views, and a short walk to the castle. Check in was easy and welcoming. The room was spacious and very clean, as was the bathroom, it was very quiet at night and I slept well in a very comfortable bed. I eat in the restaurant, where the food and service was excellent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with a good selection. I would certainly stay here again and highly recommend it.
