Amazing views, spacious quarters and solid amenities make this place a must stay. A few minor snafus with keys, ac and pool but otherwise we really enjoyed it. Nice bonus having a hot tub and private path to beach out back. We hope to come back soon!

Our group of 5 family and friends stayed here for a week and mostly loved it! The location was private and we rarely heard neighbors or any other vehicles although there are neighboring villas. The villa offers many stunning views but the best view of the morning sunrise is from the top of the very steep driveway. We cooked on the grill a lot and used the outdoor screened in porch every evening for dinner and games. From the pictures this area looked large and totally open which we were all excited about and then we were sort of disappointed the porch is actually all enclosed now with just two entrance screen doors that need some repair. Would definitely have preferred the option to choose screens open for the morning then screens closed for the very buggy evenings. We all felt that the common areas layout, including oddly located grilling area, large tv room we never even sat in, tiny enclosed high top table area also not used, common screened in porch, well-appointed but outdated kitchen, courtyard and way too small poolside area, could really be redesigned to allow for more gathering areas like we all wanted. The bathrooms were fine and bedrooms comfortable except for the strangely tall beds that 2 of us needed stools to climb into each night. The private beach was one of our favorite parts, although a little challenging to get to, but absolutely amazing for beach combing and we found a few treasures to add to the Zen decor in the villa courtyard! Overall we had an amazing trip and would probably recommend this villa for groups wanting more privacy than gatherings.

This home was everything we hoped it would be. Perfect privacy for our group of 8, with 4 grown kids and 4 parents. The house had everything we needed, including beach chairs and snorkel gear. The pool, spa, and views were fabulous. The location was perfect with just a short drive to Cruz Bay and complete private views of the hills and ocean overlooking the preserve area. Trail to the beach was rugged (especially at the top) but nice. The Reef Bay beach did not compare to the north shore beaches, but we expected this. Once you swam past the waves there were interesting reefs to the right, by the rocks. We all enjoyed every moment of our stay and would definately return.

Stunning Villa….stayed 10 days with my family of 8. Views were breathtaking unobstructed oceanfront and property was everything and more then is covered on the listing.

We had a fabulous time staying here. Property managers were a great help with ideas for what to do on the island and getting us from the ferry. The layout of the house worked perfectly for our family. Loved having the pool and hot tub when we were not at the beach! The quiet area was lovely and perfect for star gazing! My family of 4 (2 adults and 2kids 8 and 10) enjoyed our stay in St. John at reef bay holiday villa. We enjoyed the view, the pool and hot tub not to mention the view of the water and the night sky with so many stars (we saw a few shooting stars). Excellent location at about 20 minutes from Cruz bay and 30 minutes to north beaches. Since there was only outdoor access to the bedrooms this place wouldn’t be great for families with young kids unless they plan to share one bedroom but we made it work and the kids liked their independence. KatjAthe concierge was very helpful. Would definitely stay at this villa again.

We loved everything about this place and it exceeded our expectation (which was already high). It is an ideal layout for two families (8 total) with teenagers. Reef Bay is an absolute gem that you can basically have all to yourself. Twice, we did not see a single person as we walked the shoreline. It looks out over the National Park, so there is nothing in your viewscape besides mountains, jungle and turquoise water. The villa was incredibly clean, beds comfy and it’s layout is very efficient. . Top notch all around.

The property is even better than expected from the photographs and description. It is far enough from town to feel secluded but close enough for an easy drive in for dinner and fun. The property is clean and easy to use. The private beach is a short and easy walk. We can't say enough and will stay here every time in St. John if available.

I brought my family of 8 for Christmas week. We were apprehensive because the rental is relatively far from town but that turned out to be inconsequential - 15 min to town, 20-25 to any beach and coral bay.. This 4 bedroom home has a spectacular southeastern view and direct (but steep) access to a beautiful beach with a lively and easily accessible coral reef! Perfect for adventurous/active families. The home is very private and very comfortable in this climate of indoor/ outdoor living. The hot tub was a dream.

Great week and by the end of our stay, we were trying to figure out a way to return to St. John. Our house was comfortable and well equipped.

The home had all the amenities needed to feel like home away from home and allow us to relax and enjoy the beauty of the island.

Our group was 6 friends all 55 and over. We enjoyed the stay but hadn't anticipated as many stairs. The jaunt to the beach was a little treacherous and we only ventured there once. The pictures on the website need to be updated. The dining area is now screened in. The bedrooms are all air conditioned but the living area is not. The pool is very small and honestly we never got in it. We came in off of a week long catamaran stay and enjoyed our own separate space. Great view from master bedroom and from living space. Overall it was a good place to stay while exploring St. John.

We loved our stay at Reef Bay Villa! It was very clean and the views are stunning from every room. It was the perfect setting for coffee in the morning, wine in the evening, and family games around the table in the screened in area. We also got a lot of use out of the beautiful pool and hot tub. The villa is in a very private location, but its only a 20 - 30 minute drive to Cruz Bay and the Northshore beaches. Renting a 4×4 car is a must! The owner and concierge service are both very responsive. Book this villa! You won't be disappointed.

It’s hard to overstate the beauty of the surroundings on Reef Bay. The view from bedrooms, the pool, and especially the hot tub were breathtaking. We spent two of our seven days just at the house, and loved every second. Be aware that you are pretty isolated and that a 4x4 rental is a must. Taxis don’t want to come out this far. The kitchen was another personal highlight. We’ve stayed in many short term rentals, and this property had easily the best selections of cookware, spices, and cooking utensils I’ve ever encountered. We were two couples with four kids and the bedroom situation was exactly what we needed. Beds were a bit hard for many of our tastes but I slept hard and well every night. WiFi doesn’t easily reach the bedrooms, but works well in the great room space. TV was nice and the Sonos sound system was great for yachty afternoons in the pool!

We loved it! It was perfect. Ill try to keep it short, but complete. Property manager. Katja was great. Gave us a quick tour and turned us loose, but she remained available. Property. 1 compound. 3 separate structures. Common area has the kitchen and living area. Kitchen is stocked with dishes, pots, pans, utensils and basic condiments. 2 master suites with their own BR and king bed. Our group had 2 families, so this was perfect. Everyone has their own getaway. 3rd structure has 2 bedroom s with a shared bathroom. Great for a family with kids. The Location. Superb view. Borders the national park. A difficult (rocks and sand) 1/2 mile hike east takes you into the park trails and sugar mill ruins. Bonus. For you surfers. There was a consistent waist to rib beach break right out the back every day we were there. I rent a board while I was there and got a session in everyday. Trail to the beach is primative and the first 1/2 is rocky. If you are early or late the land crabs and deer will scare the bajesus out of you. Truthfully the beach behind the house was not really conducive to swimming (beware the urchins). But, there are plenty of beaches that are. The pool and hot tub was the perfect beginning and end of everyday. Power. The grid on St Thomas and St John sucks. But the house has battery back up, but I don't think it runs the AC. However, we enjoyed sleeping with the windows open. Enjoy!

I would strongly suggest jeeps for the trip back and forth to town. This journey was part of the adventure and fun of the area. All of the great beaches of St. John were not too far of a drive but a world away from the quiet tranquil area of Reef Villa. We had a great dinner at Morgan's Mango and a couple of lunches at Cruz Bay Landing but most of all we loved having cocktails by the pool with dinner in the screened in porch.Viki the property manager was great as was Jonathon Ward the owner of the Villa. What a great week. Beautiful property that lives up to the pictures. Amazing island. Very relaxing way to spend time with the family. Short walk to a private beach. Can't wait to plan our next trip to St. John.

Really cool open concept house. Lots of space and great view. Access to a beach for finding shells. Lots of stairs and requires a good pair of water shoes. Not a great fit for small kids with the open pool and separate sleeping spaces. Hot tub was a bonus! Thanks for sharing your home with us! We loved traveling all over St John and visiting all the beaches and ruins.

We spent most of our time sightseeing and should have hungout at the house an entire day. The house has the works.......pool, hot tub and views.

I referred to it offerings as “the plenty of everything” that you generally don’t find in other rentals. The views are breathtaking, the pool is refreshing, and the spa with its jets and ocean views is invigorating after a long day of hiking, snorkeling, swimming or just laying around. The location is ideal, just 10 minutes from well-stocked grocery stores, but far enough away to feel like you’re relaxing in a private tree house atop a beautiful forest staring into the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean. Just bring your clothes and very little more, the owners have the house full of every kitchen gadget to prepare a gourmet meal... we actually had a chef come to prepare a 5 course meal one night, and he had everything he needed. Viky the concierge is an absolute dream, so warm, professional and accommodating. The computer modem went out at 5pm our third night and a new one was installed by Henry the affable and very capable maintenance man the next morning with a smile- just a nod to this property’s commitment to gracious and timely service. I’d love to write more, but we loved it so much, we extended our stay another 3 days, and the pool with it’s amazing trade winds are calling. Seriously, stop looking around, this is the THE place.

We had the BEST time while staying at this beautiful house. It was so hard for us to leave. We all wanted to stay there forever. When one of the a/c units unexpectedly went out, Viky (the wonderful concierge), was awesomely quick at getting someone out to fix it. It was fixed and ready for use before we made it back from the beach. She was great at answering all of our questions and being available for assistance. This house was perfectly furnished with everything we needed. We even loved all the games that we found in one of the closets. The beach gear included with the house to borrow during our stay, was so nice to have on our daily trips to the beach. I can’t recommend this place enough! It was perfect for our family of 7. We had 5 adults and 2 kids (ages 8 and 6). The kids really loved the pool and the adults loved the hot tub. If we get the chance, we will definitely be back.

We have been to St. John so many times we consider it a second home. We have stayed in many private villas and the Westin and the Reef Bay Holiday House is now among one of our favorites! Great view, easy driveway (believe us that matters on St. John), wonderful bedrooms with AC. Number one awesome thing..... currently in these troubled times the power fluctuates and even goes out regularly on St. John. This villa is equiped with solar power with back up batteries so that the only way you know the power went out is when the clock on the stove is flashing. This is a game-changer! Book this villa NOW! We really enjoyed our week here and would have loved to extend for another week! All the on-site amenities were terrific and we found that with a little effort, you can get to the beach access for the Reef Bay hiking trail directly from the villa.

Beautiful home and property. We enjoyed the pool very much. Home is very well equipped and we enjoyed cooking most of our meals. Owners were communicative, friendly and helpful.

2nd time staying here, terrific experience yet again! Sizable storm while we were there, backup generators kept AC on in middle of the night. Star-gazing perfect, you do not get these shooting-stars over in Cruz Bay Layout great for everyone to separate, take naps, recharge, keep going. Reef bay hike/petroglyphs/rum factory ruins close enough for a half-day hike. Many tiny (lemon?) sharks in Genti bay worth checking out. Had 2 mothers-in-law come with us this time. Beds are a few inches higher off-ground but Viky ensured there were solid step-stools present to help us out. Viky was terrific! Met us at St John car rental, took a few bags with her to the house as all 7 + bags don't exactly fit into an Explorer easily. Made birthday cakes this year, tons of kitchen supplies easily at hand. Storm burned out the microwave, Viky was there within hours with a replacement, even though I was on island time and forgot to email her for 2 days (sorry Viky) Such a great place; we always start planning the next year as soon as we leave. 2 years running and no need to turn the TV on while there! (sat radio on nearly non-stop though, thank you!) Can't wait to come again!

Our family of 7 spent a fabulous week here. We hiked, snorkeled, laughed, and relaxed. The house is very user friendly. Kitchen well equipped. Beds comfortable, baths luxurious. Viky, the concierge, always available for questions and quick with answers. The ocean breeze is always present. We would definitely consider renting this villa again. Thank you Wards!

Our family vacation here was a dream come true, far exceeding any of our expectations. This gorgeous home is in an incredibly scenic, private location with beautiful views of the ocean and National Park. We loved the pool, the hot tub, the short trek to the beach, listening to the ocean and birds at night, our bedrooms, the big open kitchen/dining room/living room...everything! We fell in love with this home and hope to come back again someday. Thank you for sharing your island paradise!

This was a most beautiful property. Master bedroom with a corner windows view of the ocean, Main room and kitchen with ample space to entertain in. Both an outdoor dining table and a screened-in bar table were perfect for enjoying sunrises over the bay. And the hot tub was equally great for gazing at the stars at night. There is a path down the hill behind the villa to a secluded beach, one that is better for walking than for water-play, but you can do both. From the beach entry if you walk northeast along the shoreline as we did, and your able to navigate around a rock cropping or two, it is worth the 2-2.5 mile walk to find the sugar mill ruins and then on to the petroglyphs. Property manager here is the best!! She takes pride in introducing guests to the villa and all of its amenities. Kitchen has every appliance and cookware necessary for great meal preparations. Sound and video entertainment system was very good, though our party did not have much time to take advantage of it as we were either online handling business via the wifi connection or we off exploring St. John. Highly recommend a drive to Maho Beach. Whether you want to snorkel, paddle board, or just relax in the sun, this small but quaint cove is perfect for all of the above. My wife and I also took the drive up to east end and rented a kayak to paddle out to the floating taco bar. It was a great adventure with delicious food awaiting us out in the bay. If the opportunity presents itself, we will venture back and look to stay here again.
