Such a tranquil, private, and gorgeous property and in the heart of Halls Gap. Beautiful flora and fauna. The most kangaroos, emus, ducks, and deer we've ever seen in one location. And the best museli and fudge we've ever tasted!

Absolutely loved our stay in Bushland. Great location, easy access with plenty of privacy, perfect for a little escape away. Enjoyed watching the wildlife come and go and the views were spectacular. The retreat itself was incredible and equiped with everything we needed. All the communication prior was super helpful, exactly what we needed to be informed yet self check in allowed for the freedom and privacy to come and go as desired. Thank you for providing such a wonderful stay :)

This is an exceptional place. The property is stunning and having the wildlife roaming outside the windows was magical. We spent our 30th wedding anniversary here and couldn't recommend it more highly for an amazing and romantic getaway. Beautifully set up and maintained.
Only thing was a group of people wandering on the property outside our window on day 2 (which was just a surprise as there were so few people around) and breakfast was a little disappointing with only 3 tea options (none of which were teas we drank) - no English Breakfast which is the most common tea. But only very minor complaints.

Fabulous location, quiet, fabulous views, short walk to restaurants and shops.
Very private Bushland accommodation, total luxury.
Beautiful to see the Kangaroos, Emus and birds close to our home.

Truly exceptional location - visited mid week - the privacy was incredible - the views/aspect is one of a kind within Halls Gap - an added bonus was the kangaroos, emus, blue wrens and corellas around the cottage just being and getting on with their life. Very calming.
Washers on the taps need changing - some where hard to turn off and stop dripping/leaking.

I liked that it was central but away from the public and each morning / evening we could watch the native animals come out around the property
The pillows were a bit firm so maybe just add a few more thin pillows for other people as an option :)

The accommodation was luxurious, the scenery was magnificent and the it was great to be in the middle of where the dear and the ante_^H_^H kangaroos play.
Choose your days carefully if you want to ensure that all the local restaurants are open.

Incredible view of halls gap with quality facilities, the wild life that surrounded the property was fantastic. Walking distance to the main strip.

I would have liked opening a window at night - windows (double glazed) are sealed for air con and heat control.

fresh bread was nice we both don't drink coffee or tea.
The best part was the location with plently of animals for me to take many photos.
The only thing we didn't like was that we were in lockdown and couldn't eat out at any Restaurants also never left the house to explore the waterfalls

Loved this property. Easy to find, beautiful furnishings, luxurious robes, comfy bed. After taking in the local bush walks around Halls Gap, nothing like a glass of wine in the spa in the late afternoon. Then a short amble to lovely dining spots and home to the log fire.
Than in the morning, to wake up to kangaroos, emus and even deer ambling pass your window. Bliss.
We shall definitely return.

The view and spa
I didn't like the fact that the check in time is set at 3pm, its VERY late especially if you are spending one day... it feels pointless and a waste of money. I emailed prior to our stay asking if we could get earlier check in and no one responded. I didn't like that even though arriving at 3pm, the cleaner was confused that there was even a booking and was still cleaning a messy villa and was not ready. The cleaner was not ready until 5pm for us to check in!!!! When calling the owners, the owner kept acting like she had no idea why this happened, acting very oblivious to the situation and would not provide me with a resolution and was quite rude to myself and my partner pretty much talking about her profit, rather than being empathetic and even apologising for the whole situation. Obviously, this is an issue with management (who else!), but it was like she had no idea and leaving us unsure of what to do even though its her responsibility! very disappointed. Also in the email it says we would receive fresh bread and I had planned for this (not organising my own, since it was stated in the email) however the next morning we were unable to have breaks because there was no bread as was promised!
