The room was clean and quiet, good wifi, excellent place for work or rest

Very pleasant stay, very spacious and quiet room and comfortable beds. good WiFi and fully working air-conditioning. access to a kitchen (microwave,sink, kettle, some dishes) Nice restaurant downstairs. Do not be misled by the exterior, the rooms are newly renovated!

The only thing that is missing are spoons (!) in the kitchen, and maybe a corkscrew would be useful :)

Helpfull staff. Room very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Keep in mind you pay in CZK, not EUR.

Everything was cool except one thing that ruined it...

Loved it when I checked in - great Pilsner, friendly waiter. Got to the room and loved that too. A little snug, but I was on my own. Kept on loving it right up until I woke up the next morning, threw back the covers, and found a used band-aid lying on the sheet. I took a picture and showed it to them when I went down for breakfast. Went out for a hike, came back. Somebody had removed the band-aid - and left the same sheets on the bed. Back downstairs to yell a little bit. They eventually changed the bottom sheet, but I don't think they changed the duvet cover; at that point I just gave up, since I had been sleeping under it the whole night anyway. Worst of all was that nobody, at any point, seemed very bothered at all about this - let alone apologetic. I mean, ok, Czechs are famous for not taking anything too seriously, I get that, in fact that's one of the things I like about them. Usually. But.......yikes.

Location allowed me to get up early in the morning to walk up Lysá Hora. I arrived very late at night and once I told reception, they were waiting for me. Size of the room was huge. Great value for money.

It is clean and the kitchenette is well equipped. The rooms are opposite to the road so it is generally quiet unless a window is open since an unknown device at the kitchen works at night making a noise.

As a foreigner after the reservation I got a rough price ~161 €. I send an e-mail to the guesthouse and received the response that the exact cost would be 4 165 CZK. However, after my arrival I had to pay 4 725 CZK, i.e. ~190 €. For the last two nights I was requested to move to another room because someone else was to take my apartment. The water in the bathrooms works quite strange since the flow is not constant and pulsates what is irritating, especially when you take a shower. Wi-Fi is very poor.

Extra entrance to the pension

I was not told to order breakfast in advance - in the morning, even there was lot of stuff and some guests were served with breakfast I was told they can not make anything for me. Also I came around midnight and there was not hot water anymore. Felt dissapointed

What a great place! Such a cosy and atmospheric place to stay for so little money. Although the rooms was thoroughly basic and lacking in character (no complaints because of the price), the communal areas and especially the restaurant, bar and terrace were incredibly comfy and cosy. The food is also amazing - a fantastic choice of hearty local dishes cooked to perfection. And in particular I must give a huge shout out to the amazing staff who were simply amazing - so welcoming, fun and helpful. All that and planted at the start of several stunning walks whilst simultaneously an easy 15 minute walk from the station. I couldn't recommend more!
