Property is well located.

We believed it would have its own terrace but it was shared which is was issue for us as we were traveling with 2 dogs. One of which is not people friendly. Hence why we booked. The stairs for our 2 year old were also a bit steep. However the property own was very undertaking and was open for a refund if we had to move. We ended up staying due to the service and her openness.

Our host was lovely and helpful, and the location was easy to find. Less than 10 minutes walk from the station, and right on the main street through town. Ideally, it would be great to have a toilet on the main level, but I realise that retro-fitting and old/traditional Swiss cottage is not simple. The modern fittings in the old-style cottage were lovely, including modern ovens, dishwasher and Nespresso machine (with capsules provided). There were a number of food and drinking venues close by too. I would stay here again for sure, as the positives of this place clearly outweigh the few, if any, negatives.

Nothing really. The cottage was a little warm but opening the windows let cooler air in. With the two levels being ground floor and basement, the rooms were a little on the dark side. But these are minor inconveniences.

Everything was perfect - if you could dream up your perfect accommodation in a perfect setting in a perfect location - it would be Schnapskeller!

Nice charming chalet completely renovated on the inside. Very clean and comfortable. Conveniently located between lifts to Sunnegga and Furi.

The apartment is located at the ground level so the view out the window is limited. It didn't bother me one bit as I would spend all day outside and only come in to rest.

The property was immaculately clean, tastefully decorated and had absolutely everything we needed. It’s in a really good spot in Zermatt just a couple of minutes from the main drag. Our host Daniela was absolutely lovely. She couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. The late checkout on final morning was a real bonus. Although Daniela offered to organise it for us we didn’t get to try the sauna and steam room. Maybe next time! The bed was extremely comfortable and, because the bedroom is in what would have been the cellar, you can’t hear any street noise at all.

The layout of the property is very quirky so may not be to everyone’s taste. We thought the living/dining/kitchen space might work better with a smaller dining table and chairs - it does rather dominate the room
