This place was great for a large group of girls! I was very impressed with the amount of cookware and serveware in the house. It’s definitely well equipped for entertaining! There were also some ‘extras’ that people had left behind including some spices, olive oil, etc which was super nice! Although it would have been nice to have known some of these things were available so we wouldn’t have had to buy them. In addition, I felt the Property Management company wasn’t clear on what amenities would be available. The app said only 1 roll of toilet paper, 1 dishwasher fluid, 1 bar of soap per bathroom etc. basically making it sound as though only a starter kit was available for a long weekend. As a result we also bought all those sort of items. Upon arriving we did not need any of it. There was an extra roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, pump hand soap at each sink, dish soap and plenty of dishwasher detergent. We loved the deck during both day and night, as well as the hot tub! The only things I will note is that the bedrooms on the main floor and the driveway/parking. There are two bedrooms on the main floor and because of the wood log cabin feel the walls and ceiling do not actually meet for complete privacy. It wasn’t a problem for us, but I imagine it could be depending on the group. Then the driveway. It’s steep. I thought growing up in the hills of WV would mean it was no big deal. But it’s still intimidating. I can’t imagine it in poor weather conditions. What makes it worse is that there isn’t much of a flat area at the top for easy turn around and navigating. In addition, only 4 cars can park at the top of driveway. And there is no way you are parking on the drive. Too steep. The road leading to the house is one lane and no additional parking is available there. Something I feel is definitely worth noting on the listing. All in all it was a very nice home and we enjoyed our stay!

Myself and 11 other girls visited this property over the weekend. Everyone had a great time and loved that it wasn’t too far from downtown Asheville (22 minutes). The hot tub was awesome and the perfect temperature. Nobody tried the sauna unfortunately. Their was a bed for everyone however, we didn’t realize that the king bed upstairs didn’t have its own room and was a loft. The only rooms that were quiet enough to not hear everyone were in the basement. All other rooms were loud as the walls don’t totally go up to the ceiling. The biggest issue we faced was getting into the house. It was sleeting and flurrying when we arrived and the code we were given did not work. More and more girls kept arriving and we waited in the cold while trying to get in. Received a new code and finally got in however the door with the code box is very tricky to open, even from the outside. Waited an hour in the driveway before we could enter which was an inconvenience. Kitchen was perfect for entertaining and all 12 women were able to eat together for a chef prepared meal we arranged to come to the house. Don’t recommend more than 6 cars in driveway as it’s VERY steep and a one way road. Overall we had a good time!

We loved this beautiful home, spent 3 nights here and loved how many dishes and things were available in the kitchen. Plenty spacious for our party of 9. Would definitely come back and stay again!

We went on a bachelorette weekened for my sister with 11 girls! This place was perfect for sleeping this group. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious! We mostly stayed at the house to enjoy the beautiful view and company. The kitchen and living area were very comfortable and great size for our group. We went in the hot tub one night and had the best time. It was the perfect temperature! We were a 20 minute uber ride away from downtown Asheville. The only thing that we had concerns about was the steep driveway. I definitely recommend that people carpool as much as possible so that there is turn-around-space in the driveway when you need to depart! 4WD is highly recommended as well for colder months. Overall, we loved the privacy this location had to offer. I recommend this space to anyone!

Really wonderful property w exquisite long range views. The ascent to property was fine for us, but could see it being an issue in colder months. Hot tub and sauna are fantastic. Very conveniently located. Only issue for us, and it wasn't with the house or listing, was lack of privacy in loft area. Other than that, fantastic place

Yes - the driveway is steep but we made it up with no issues. The home was perfect for our large group Christmas gathering, close to Asheville, and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend this home.

We had a wonderful stay. The views were awesome, the house was spacious and comfortable. I read about the steep driveway in several reviews but nothing quite prepares you for the actual experience. Jenny communicated with us ahead of some nasty weather and we really appreciated that. I would highly recommend the property and would stay again!

This house was amazing and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay (towels, blankets,dishes, glassware) and we were 9 ladies. The mountain views are unreal from the deck. I will say, I had been having nightmares about this steep driveway from previous reviews, and they came true when we first arrived. The driveway is very steep and it was covered in wet leaves so our car started skidding backwards down the driveway. It would have been nice if someone swept the driveway prior to us arriving to avoid this scare. We had no problems once the driveway was cleared. Also, don’t expect Uber’s to pick you up from the house because it is out in the mountains away from downtown. We used J&J cabs a lot and they came right up to the doorstep. Overall, we are glad we chose this house over others and there was plenty of space for all of us. 3 floors with 7 beds and 5 bedrooms. Thank you for having us!

Our group of ladies had an amazing time. The house was well-equipped with all we could have needed. The bedrooms were separated enough to give everyone a nice retreat at the end of the day. Lovely.

A group of 8 of us stayed here for a long weekend in the fall. We absolutely loved this property! It is in a great location with an amazing mountain view. The house was only about 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. We had a great time! I would highly recommend this property!

I loved it, the greatest view ever! Beds very comfortable and linens fresh and good quality, which was important to me. Unfortunately internet not working at all, big disappointment as family planned to watch football and grandsons to play games. When we called for help, slow response and no one seemed to care that it was not working.

This was one of the best places I've stayed via VRBO. Very happy with our decision to stay at this house. Very clean and awesome views. We will definitely book this house again when we make it back to the Asheville area.

My family stayed at this lovely cabin. There were 6 adults and 5 children. The cabin was spacious and clean. The kitchen was perfect for several adults to prepare food and had more than enough of plates, cups pans and everything needed to cook. We loved the deck and felt secure with the small children on the deck with adult supervision. The hot tub was so wonderful and the view was incredible. The driveway may be a bit of a steep climb but so worth it. We plan on returning to this cabin for our next trip to Asheville!!

UVA roommates annual reunion was spent at this lovely home. Amazing views, centrally located and very comfortable. We loved Asheville and surrounding area. So much to do, not enough time. I would definitely rent this home again.

This house was perfect for a girls' weekend. It rained a lot, but even with the clouds we spent time in the hot tub and just taking in the view on the deck. The house had everything we needed to cook and be comfortable, not to mention how clean it was! I would highly recommend this rental to anyone, and I will keep it in mind for future weekends.

Nine of my closest friends and I stayed at the blue sky vista during the week of August 14 through the 20th. The accommodations were absolutely incredible, the attention to detail, the fully equipped kitchen, and vast living space made our visit very comfortable and enjoyable. There was sufficient room for all of us and the view from the wraparound deck was absolutely magnificent. You felt as if you were at home and this made our vacation very relaxing and enjoyable. This home receives the highest ratings possible however the entrance to the property has a very steep hill that after you climb it once or twice proves to be not much of a challenge. The homeowner Dianne lives nearby to provide any assistance needed and that was also a great comfort to us. Sincerely Nicole Byrd

I absolutely adored my stay here. The pictures do NOT do the home justice. It is far more spacious than it looks, and the finishes throughout the house are gorgeous. Someone who lived there must be fond of books because there is a whole library with cookbooks and mystery novels. I don't care to cook, but I had no problem navigating through the very modern the kitchen when my night came. The views are spectacular from every angle of the wrap around balcony. I traveled with a group of people, but there was still adequate space and privacy for everyone when needed, as well as space for congregating as a group. The home is in a great location being convenient to Asheville without being in the congestion of the city. The owner was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The driveway is STEEP, but that is a small price to pay for all the amenities that await you! I would stay here again in a heartbeat, and I definitely would reccomend it to others.

You would be wasting your time and money if you plan to stay less than a week. With two rooms upstairs, two rooms on the first floor and two rooms in the basement off the garage, there’s plenty of room. Now, let me start by saying the animated house on the map is where the GPS stops, you are not there yet. 1 engineering issue... Those of you with a 2010 front wheel drive F-150 leave it at home! We did just fine in my friends Toyota 4Runner. There is (barely) room to maneuver although an F-150 is used for the garbage pickup but he's used to it. You will gun the engine to get up this steep slope. If the others have arrived before you as in my case, they will not be visible till you have reached the (4 cars wide, so 1 car in length with an added + 10 feet of walk space in front of the cars if that) landing to park. The nose of the truck is practically the only part on the landing before coming to a screeching halt. (Let me say my apology for going off in a serious rant when we finally reached the top but joking manner because no one had done a recon before arriving). You will GRAB a stiff drink and get over it, because you’ll have the time of your life! 14-20 Aug 16.

In town to do the color run and celebrate a friends birthday. The cabin is gorgeous, plenty of space, with gorgeous mountain views. The kitchen and the whole house was well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy the weekend. It is obvious the owners pay attention to details and do their best to ensure people have what they need to enjoy their time away.

Well kept, well stocked,even though back yard small, good area for games with small children since it is away from the hill. Be aware that the master bedroom is open in loft to downstairs. Peaceful mornings with coffee and awesome star gazing at night. Highly recommended!

This was the best vacation home I've ever rented. I am local to Asheville but had 9 friends coming to town so needed a larger place to entertain. This place was about 20-25 minutes from downtown ($40 cab ride). It has an amazing view of the mountains and it is very quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was very enjoyable! The house is very well appointed - comfy beds, plenty of towels, and a kitchen with everything you need for a large group. My group all agreed that we would love to make an annual tradition of renting this very house! Great value, you can't go wrong with this one!!!

This property fit our needs nicely for the week. We had a family of 11 staying there. Plenty of bedrooms - each family unit had their own room. The house was very clean and has a cabin feel on the inside. The wrap-around deck is gorgeous and a perfect spot to take in the views. The hot tub was fun in the evenings to kick back and relax. The house is somewhat secluded and in a very quiet area. There were some small trails around the house that were nice for the smaller kids. My teenager enjoyed hiking through the rough a bit to get to some longer trails higher up. The steep driveway was not a bother - actually kind of fun to drive up, but may be challenging in a stick shift. Just be sure to open the trunk carefully to ensure groceries and beer do not jump out and roll down the driveway. The kitchen is a cooks dream! Plenty of space for multiple people to gather. Visitors should be prepared to bring their own toilet paper, and perhaps trash bags, but other than that, the place was well stocked with towels and dishes. There were some minor issues with the faucet and toilet the first day, but we're promptly taken care of. Just as an FYI to future visitors - the house has an open plan which allows for sound to travel easily - there is not much that cannot be heard from almost any location in the house. One recommendation for the tv upstairs - the speakers are in the back so the sound is loud for the folks sitting by the fireplace. A sound bar could help the sound travel in the direction of the viewers. Overall it was a great place and I would definitely stay there again!

This property has everything you could want in a mountain getaway. Spacious common areas and cozy bedrooms with lots of extras! The views were terrific day and night with easy travel to Asheville for when you wanted to get back into the world! I would highly recommend this property!

I had a reunion with 9 of my closest friends, and we had a blast in Asheville. The cabin had plenty of space. It sleeps up to 12 on beds, and our group of 10 had tons of space. The bedrooms were spread out throughout the house and levels, so we never felt like we were on top of each other. The upstairs loft was very spacious. The kitchen area downstairs was great for congregating and hanging out while we were making breakfast. Our favorite part was the outside balcony and the hot tub. It was a warm weekend for February, but I could imagine in the Summer groups never leaving the views and balcony. It's a quiet neighborhood, and the houses are spaced out enough and tucked away in private drives, so you truly get a sense of the remote cabin feel. The drive back to the cabin is entertaining as the roads twist and turn, and the driveway up to the cabin is pretty steep. We never had any problems getting up the cabin, but in the snowy winter you might need 4x4. The cabin is roughly ~20 minutes from downtown Asheville. There are some Ubers available that will pick you up, and the fare into town is roughly $16-$18. With a big group, this was a great way to get around. I'd highly recommend this cabin and Asheville. It was a great time!

Very nice house, well maintained, some things are a bit dated (carpet in master bathroom?), but who cares with such amazing mountain views? Loved the spacious kitchen, hot tub and sauna, and plenty of room for all of us. 6 couples + 3 dogs were very comfortable here for a long weekend. We ventured into Asheville, which was an easy 20 min drive, as well as the nearby Looking Glass Creamery (their cheeses are amazing!) and some breweries, but mostly, we enjoyed hanging out at the house in front of the woodstove playing board games and relaxing. Thanks for the great experience! Be advised that, as others have mentioned, the driveway is a bit steep/intimidating. We didn't have any problems, though, and managed to fit 5 cars.

Had a great girls weekend here. It was such a great location to town and the perfect setup for a big group. Only issue was the very very steep driveway. We only got a light dusting of snow, but definitely should mention this driveway in reviews because could be an issue in bad weather. Otherwise lovely place and we had a fabulous time!!
