Friendly host. Quiet village! Tasty breakfast!

Photo of the pool very deceiving! Probably would not have paid that much if I knew I would stay in a small room with no pool nearby.

Caroline is so hospitable and friendly, we loved the garden and all pets around. We had a romantic dinner with local wine and delicious breakfast with local products. The room is authentic, spacious and clean. Just all you need for a relaxing weekend.

Caroline was THE BEST HOST. Don't look any further and and book Lavender Lodge immediately. She had a lovely breakfast with coffee and tea each morning, she always had a fire burning in the room, gave recommendations for places to go and even picked me up at the train, dropped me at the bus, let me do a load of laundry....the list goes one. Far and away the best host I have ever had with the coziest environment I could have asked for (animals included). Also, let her make you dinner - she is an excellent cook! There aren't enough positive things to say about her lodge and her as a person :)

We visited this wonderful place for second time and we love it. I can’t recommend it enough. Caroline is a great host, you can try delicious organic food and enjoy the country life. We will definitely visit again.

Caroline is just so nice I have totally forgotten how beautiful this place is. She is looking after so much life in her small garden :) this time there were three beautiful frogs happily chirping during the day. And this was probably the best curry we've ever had :) Good luck dear! :)

The place is wonderful. The garden, the food, and the host were all amazing. Will recommend it to everyone that will travel to Bulgaria.

Caroline the host picked us up from the train station and from the warm welcome we received we knew this was going to be a lovely stay. Lavender Lodge is a beautiful place and a haven from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The accommodation was perfect with strong internet and walk in shower which would be suitable for people with disabilities. The extensive garden was wonderful with a variety of areas for sitting in whether you wanted shade of sun. We had asked Caroline before arrival about a wine tasting visit and she duly arranged this and dropped us off and picked us up again. The outdoor kitchen was lovely and we spent a lot of time there reading, eating and chatting.There is a lot of wild life in the area and a stork had decided to take up residence and had built a nest on the lampost beside the house.Sitting in the cool of night in the outside kitchen it was amazing to hear all the different animals calling. The night sky was also spectacular as the light from the village is not strong. The smell of lavender pervades the air and is conducive to a good night's sleep on the comfortable bed.Breakfast in the outside kitchen was lovely with fresh eggs from Carolines' hens. We have stayed in five star hotels but nothing could compare to the warmth we received at Lavender Lodge. Caroline the host is one of the loveliest people we have met on our travels and even took me down to the train station to book tickets for our return journey. She did everything in her power to make our stay very special. If we have anything to do with it this will not be our last visit!
