Good location with parking

This pub should and could be a gem but the rooms are tired. We have stayed in five different pubs on our tour of Cornwall and the others were lovely and I have reviewed as such. Here the shower wasn’t working, neither was the tv and the pillows stunk of sweat. ( surely they could check before a 3pm check in). The barman had no idea how to pull a pint of real ale and said he hadn’t been trained. We got the impression the place does very well without having to try.

Breakfast was just OK but if it was supposed to be a Continental breakfast then cheese and ham would have been nice

The main disappointment this year having stayed here numerous times over the past 40 years was the kitchen being closed! Had I known this at the time of booking I wouldn't have booked. As there's a no cancellation policy and only finding out after I booked, I was disappointed as the food was excellent last March and so wanted my fiancée to experience it. I will ring up in advance before booking in December in future. Apart from that little whinge, I will return :)

Location was excellent with an easy walk down to the very picturesque harbour - a must do!! Room comfortable with good amenities. Old Pub with great atmosphere but food average. Staff tried to be really helpful. Overall a very memorable stay in unique Polperro.

On arrival there was no one at reception & it took someone to check us into our room which was pre-paid.

Idea location at the start of the town, so you didn’t need to drive down the very narrow main street. Had its own car park that was easy to get into.

Had to leave my room and go through a small hallway to my ensuite.

The breakfast was really excellent and location perfect for a stay at Polperro

It was what we expected and hoped for really

Room was Clean and comfortable! Had a request to check in early and they did their best to accommodate which I can’t thank enough! Shame it was a fleeting visit, would’ve liked to have stayed longer.

Nothing to complain about!

Room was not really clean. Blood stains on the sheets upon arrival. Stains in the carpet. Very old room full of spider webs.
