Awesome house in a great location. Downtown JT within walking distance. Perfect for a 2-3 night stay in JT for a couple with 1-2 young children. I’d stay here again.

This was our second stay at this property and we loved it again. It is conveniently located to food and park entrance, clean, spacious, and comfortable.

We enjoyed visiting nearby National park and we also enjoyed sitting out at the fire pit in the cool mornings

There were some cleanliness issues but Elsa and Taylor were very apologetic and concerned and willing to help out in any way, even offering to have someone stop by and do a quick cleaning. We stayed here for a week and ended up leaving a day early because it got so hot inside. Know there is an evaporative cooler type thing that just doesn't feel like it's doing much. It was high 70s/low 80s when we were there and it got so hot inside. There were ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living room but often times, it was cooler outside because of the breeze. I wanted to get the zen feels but the lack of cleanliness and random things like the bedroom ceiling fan shaking violently when you pull the cord like it’s not screwed on all the way or cardboard shoved into the wall to latch the bedroom door just made it feel a bit cheap and hard to relax. I’d suggest getting some good blackout curtains to help block out the heat and some thicker bathroom towels to make the stay a bit more enjoyable. The location is really awesome and we loved being so close to JTNP. The owners were responsive and kind and we appreciated their willingness to address our concerns. The walkability to restaurants and little shops and the high speed internet were great too! The hammock and fire pit were nice in the evenings when it was cooler. Overall, with some improvement, I might come back again, just not in summer!

There is really nothing bad to say about our experience here. This was an ideal house to spend a week, as we have kids, and with the pandemic, wanted to prepare most of our meals. The kitchen in a well outfitted. The hosts were communicative, and gave us recommendations on everything from dining to great hikes. We are musicians, and travel with instruments, and the property felt very secure. The last VRBO in JT we rented felt a little sketchy, and we would hide our fiddles in the closet every day when we left for hikes! This was an appealing place to cook meals and hang out as a family. Desert Zen is also located in perfect proximity to the national park entrance.

Perfect property for us. Nice back area with grill fenced. The owners were wonderful to answer all our questions quickly. Comfortable beds and VERY CLEAN. Only 2-4 miles to commercial shopping. Bottom of hill for great privately owned shops. We would definitely come hereagain .

My husband and I throughly enjoyed our stay at Joshua Tree Desert Duo! The quarters were very clean, thoughtfully decorated, comfortable, and conveniently located in Joshua Tree near the National Park entrance. Our hosts were very responsive to all questions.

Fast and easy communications with Elsa because she was very responsive. Very clean and spacious unit. Love the outdoor gas firepit for night time star gazing and roasting marshmallows. Parking in front of unit. Alarm system was a plus for extra security. Lots of cookware/utencils in the kitchen. Wish there was a wall or hand shower instead of just a rain shower because kids had a harder time taking a shower. Will stay again :)

Great location near entrance to Joshua Tree Park, able to walk to town, nicely furnished, comfortable beds, and owners were very helpful and easy to reach with questions. We will be coming back!

This rental was very nice and looks like the pictures. Close to the park. Very quiet and had fun walking through the neighborhood in the morning. Only change I would make is access to the washer/dryer - I forgot to look for that amenity before I booked.

We easily found the condo and checked in. We were pleased to see the online photos are very accurate. The living space is quite open and welcoming. We would choose it again!

Spacious and charming duplex just a few minutes from the park entrance. Duplex is extremely well appointed: furniture and beds are attractive and comfortable; the kitchen satisfies all cooking needs; and there are sitting areas in front and on the patio, as well as hammocks and a grill. The personal touches of books and beautiful photographs on the wall are most welcome. Great pizza is minutes away, and a good grocery store is within 5 miles. Highly recommended!

The condo is adorable and someone really put a lot of thought into setting it up for travelers. It was close to everything in the town of Joshua Tree as well as the park. Highly recommend booking this property if you have a chance. I know I will if I come back to the area.
