This home was the perfect destination for our family! The house was perfectly clean and decorated, with all the basic supplies we needed. Cathy was honestly one of the best hosts I have ever dealt with. She got back to me right away with any questions I had and even made it possible for us to check in a day early with very little notice. The location was absolutely perfect! Plenty of fresh food options within steps of the front door, while also somehow feeling like our own private bay. Thank you so much for making our last summer getaway so wonderful. We look forward to many more summer getaways at your home. I only wish we could stay longer!

Previous reviews have not done this home justice, the interior is updated, very comfortable beds, spotless and clean. The owners are doing a wonderful job updating and helpful. The views and access to the beach are unique and special. Basically you have your own provate beach to watch fly fisherman in the distance, seals, eagles, and a variety of waterlife. This is a cute enclave with easy access to GH and Hw 16. Plus, Purdy Boys is nearby with the freshest fruit and a variety of healthy foods, Bridgeway Market carries some essentials and if you dont feel like cooking there is Dexters Burgers and a Thai place. Great place with a modern kitchen, (but bring your own spices/oils), and greater neighboring people.

The home is decorated so nicely and the backyard view is amazing. The beds were really comfortable and the space was easy to be in, and we were a big group. The boys (adults) enjoyed having a fire in the firepit and watching the water! Kitchen is well supplied for cooking and dining. Need to bring your own spices/oil and shampoo.

We had an absolute blast. Love the access to the beach. Parts of the beach house could use replacing or updating (I.e bathtub/ shower) but overall we had a great time and would come back again!

As a homeschooling family the nature and water animals were incredible. Nightly around 6pm you’ll see the sea lions swimming and popping their heads up. Around noon we walked down to the shore and seen sooo many starfish. It was so cool and such a fun learning experience for our kiddos. Definitely family friendly. Would totally recommend to anybody needing a getaway just outside of town.

This property is a great place to gather as a family. It is much larger than expected. We enjoyed a wonderful family dinner, football on the big screen, and a nice fire outside by the water. I would rent here again. We did have some issues getting in but were resolved quickly and the owner bent over backwards to accommodate us. Super fun and relaxing hidden gem. The young kids really enjoyed it. The view was spectacular and very relaxing.

The house reminds me of my grandma's cottage. Quaint, outdated, super comfortable, and clean. There is plenty of places to sleep and the view! It's gorgeous. The neighbor was very nice. I would definitely recommend staying.

Beautiful home in a great location! Held our family reunion there and hope to go back again. Property was clean, had everything we needed, and we made some great memories there! Property manager was fantastic. I rate it 10 stars if I could!

We had a very eventful first evening with some homeless person under the bridge and the owner called the police. I know this is not her fault but being it really made us feel very uneasy to go outside anytime after dark. All in all not very relaxing. Probably would not return.

Easy to rent; beautiful view, close to amenities, good beach for marine life. Average cleanliness, back bedroom bed needs replacement.

The backyard was absolutely beautiful and it was lovely to be right on the water to watch the tide come in and out. The house, however, did not match the yard. Very little effort was put into the house. One of the beds was absolutely awful to sleep on, it felt like I was sleeping on an old pullout couch mattress. The house was not very clean. There was dust and hair all over. We even found an old lithium pill on the ground next to one of the beds. If they put just a TINY bit of effort into the rental it would be so great. We were pretty disappointed with the lack of effort in almost everything inside the house. Be prepared for some restless nights if you have to sleep on the terrible mattress. It's also RIGHT next to the bridge, so the cars are literally right outside your window.

My family and I stayed for a little over a week during the holiday season and loved the experience. The house was exactly as described and the view of the water was amazing to wake up to each morning. It's location is a little odd since it's behind a small mall, but that only made it more convenient when we needed last minute groceries or snacks. We were also able to walk along the beach during low tide to check out the wildlife. The house comfortably fit 5 adults and had all of the necessities for us to cook our own meals and also had a number of restaurants nearby in case we 2anted to go out. Some of the other reviews mentioned a lot of noise from the bridge in the south bedroom, but we didn't notice it at all during our stay. Another showerhead and curtain were also added to the bathroom so there were two full baths when we got there. Thank you again for your hospitality, Catherine!

We rented this property for the week of Thanksgiving. The views are absolutely beautiful! Every morning we received a show from a seal which became a welcomed part of the morning routine. I can only imagine how amazing it would be during the summer. The location is convenient and we frequented the markets and coffee stand next door as well as ordered lunch from the drive in and dinner from the Thai restaurant. As far as the house, it was slightly disappointing. We found several spiders and there were no cleaning supplies; a broom would have been helpful. There is not a washer or dryer, which could be quite inconvenient during the summer if you planned to spend time in the water. The kitchen is dated with no garbage disposal or dishwasher, several broken tiles on the counter top and the entire kitchen slopes. One of the bedrooms the heater didn’t work and there were no extra blankets. Additionally, there was no bedding for the pullout couch. The house is very “separated”; no two rooms flow together. This meaning, if you’re in the kitchen, you have no visibility into another room. We did have a wonderful time at this property and the memories made will not include the few inconveniences.

This is a lovely classic beach house. It is casual, comfortable and chic. There are lots of spaces for 6 adults to spread out and relax. Tho location is great; right on the bay with beach access. The house is just behind the Local Boys produce market. We enjoyed being able to pop over to buy fresh ingredients for each meal. The house is right next to the Purdy bridge. The bridge is very busy and there is traffic noise, but we didn’t find it a problem. The noise was unnoticeable in the two northern bedrooms, and tolerable in the south bedroom. However, there are two problems. If you have 5 or 6 people as we did and need the third bed, the third bed is terrible. We were the hosts and we took the smaller room because it was enough for us. The blinds that did not block out the light and the bridge noise would have been tolerable, but I was afraid the bed would permanently damage my neck. And, unfortunately, there is only one real shower which is only workable for some groups. The second, smaller bathroom has a tub which does have a shower curtain and a shower wand, but it doesn’t have real shower walls, so you have to be careful when using the wand to not spray all over the painted walls. We made it work, but it was not ideal. Those two problems aside, we very much enjoyed our stay. PS. I rated accuracy of online listing 4 stars because it lacked detail. None of the information given was inaccurate or misleading.

The owners really need to do some updating of kitchen counters and bathrooms. There is plenty of room for a King bed in the largest bedroom. That bed was horrible for two people to sleep in. My husband and I took turns sleeping on the couch while the other slept in that Q bed. They should also have cable TV. The TV service was not very good..could not even get local news. We would only consider staying here again if they had a King bed and cable TV.

We enjoyed our stay at this beach cottage. We did many walks on the beach and saw so many sea creatures: anemones, seals, star fish, crabs, fish, snails. We also found shells and San dollars of all sizes. We took advantage of the kayaks and several outings throughout our stay. We also took advantage of the fire pit and roasted hotdogs and made s’mores. It was also wonderful to have such good good options in close proximity to the house (we loved Easy Thai Easy Go, Peninsula Perk, Local Boys for produce and their tap room, just to name a few). Our family really enjoyed our time playing and resting at this lovely beach house.

The house had plenty of room for my 7 children. We were missing a blanket for the pull out couch, and when I notified the owner, she dropped by with a box of blankets, sand toys, jump ropes, a Frisbee, and all the makings for s'mores. My children were thrilled, she went above and beyond as a host. There was everything we needed nearby, a coffee stand, produce stand, grocery and a place to eat. I couldn't have asked for more. The noise from the bridge didn't bother us a bit. Many thanks to the owner for a wonderful vacation.

It was perfect! My grandbabies live in the area so I was able to share this beautiful property with them and did a lot of rock throwing and paddle boarding at the property beach. Loved the house set up with 2 rooms on one side and 1 on the other. Great privacy if you have a house full. Looking forward to my next trip.

This property was perfect for our vacation. It was a bit of a drive to some of the places we wanted to see but we knew that going in. The high and low tides in the backyard are absolutely mesmerizing. We had a few seal friends visit almost every day. There are eagles to admire as they fly by. It was a warmer week there and each bedroom has a fan, which was very handy. The taco truck next door was amazing. Massimos may have been my favorite meal of the trip! Whether we spent they day out seeing sights or laying low, this was a great house. So much room, we didn't even go in the 3rd bedroom. Fresh flowers in the bedrooms and living room. Very nice touch.

Overall the house was spacious enough. We had enough room for a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 children under 6 + an adult sitter. Our sitter had her own bedroom and bathroom. We all shared a living space, kitchen and dinning area. My husband and I had one bedroom shared with our 8month old and the other kids shared the other bedroom and bathroom. There was a small market within walking distance that came in handy until we found the local Target. There was a small coffee shop next door that opens super early and have the friendliest ladies running it. Catherine has a couple of kayaks and life vests for adults and kids that we used. The kids enjoyed walking the bay as the tide cleared out looking for sand dollars and shells. Couple of issues we ran into , the parking space for the lot is shared with a business. We had a large SUV which we would try most times to park in the tiny carport because the business does early morning deliveries and the driveway access is shared. One evening we came back to the property only to have access to the house blocked by a patron at the bar. So parking is definitely an issue. There was no washer and dryer so be prepared to line dry any wet swim suits. Overall we had a good time! Would do it again.

Our group was a grandmother, mother and father, sister, and friend in town for a wedding. The good things: The location was convenient and had a beautiful back yard. The produce store had a tap room. If you like beer, you will like it. The kayaks were fun! The living space is very comfortable. The owner is very responsive and a pleasure. Some other things: It is listed as a three bedroom two bath. While people have commented about the bridge noise, it was only an issue for the back bedroom. However, the mattress on that bed makes sleeping difficult. In reality, it was similar to sleeping on a hammock. Thankfully, the sectional was very comfortable. The shower in the back bathroom is attached awkwardly to the wall. To use it, it must be hand held. We all used the main shower. With the current mattress and shower, I would consider it a two bedroom and a one and a half bath. The other mattresses were very comfortable. The house has great potential but could benefit from some simple upgrades and maintenance. . A bigger coffee pot would be great!

Great access to everything we had planned, easy check in and check out, host was promp to any messages I sent, parking was a bit tight with store right behind us, beautiful view, was noise but we new it would be by other posts, plenty of room for our family

Lovely little place right on the water. Very pretty views! My kids REALLY enjoyed the kayaking, spotting seals, otters and sand dollars. Cathi was so quick to respond and EXTREMELY HELPFUL whenever we needed to get a hold of her, especially after a hiccup we encountered with our travel plans. She was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Good water views and they also provided kayaks to explore the water. The home is kind of in a strip mall. Not the best location but it was not noisy and it was convenient as we could just walk to everything we needed. Note that basic toiletries were not provided so something that we had to go get ourselves. It would have been nice if they let us know before check-in so that we could come prepared. The bathtub in one of the bathrooms looked dirty even though it was probably cleaned. Looked like it was due for a refinish or replacement. The drain in the other bathtub was slow to clear.

Outside has excellent view . Spent most of our time outside . Nice place too stay

Lovely 10 day stay! We were surprised there was no laundry. But we found one in Tacoma. Beautiful view and kayaks were so fun!!

We had a great stay here. Communication with Cathi was excellent and we really had no issues with our stay. This rental has a beautiful scenic view, and all the amenities you will need. There is a local fresh produce, meat, and seafood market right next door for quick and easy shopping, along with a nearby convenience store, and liquor store. There is a shoreline that you can walk along and beach comb, and the wildlife in the area was fun to sit in the back yard and observe. Eagles, Geese, Sea Lions, Fish, Seagulls. We would definitely return.

The house itself is very nice. Very clean. Comfortable. The view of the water is very good. I like to take long walks on the beach, but this isn't much of a walking beach. And while being either part of or adjacent to a strip mall and multi market had its advantages, i was disappointed by that. I have to admit however that the place was pretty quiet. So, this place would work very well for many people, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths. But not for walking much or getting really quiet. Fishing looked really good, though.
