This is a wonderful holiday house. It's so close to Oneroa village yet quiet. The kitchen was well equipped and it was stocked with the basics. The beds & pillows were comfortable and the driveway was easy to park in. We have teens and it felt very spacious. The view is hard to beat and we'd love to return some day.

Great location. Really well appointed kitchen. The beds in the bunk rooms were average. From the bottom bunk they are a bit tatty and a couple of the mattresses were not comfortable. Overall house was great

The location and the views were great! Awesome place to relax. There are things that needed attention, i.e. plates, step edges for stairs inside the house and shower glass door and taps. But these are just minor things. Would love to go back sometime. Thank you Vrbo....we had a nice time!

Wonderful spot close to town, transportation and the beach. Feels secluded even though you are steps away from all of the shops and cafes. The views are amazing and the house has everything you need. Some amenities need upgrading: pillows are very thin and knives are dull. One disappointment was that we hired the house for 8 days but it was only stocked with essentials like toilet paper to last 3 at most. Overall a really lovely place.

great views from a beautiful house within close proximity to the beach. Well equipped kitchen and large spacious lounge and deck. Good size main bedroom, but other bedrooms were a little small. This place has a very steep driveway !

Excellent views and location of property. Very well presented, lots of little extras included in the hire so that you don't need to worry about things (basic food items, other food prep requirements, laundry powder etc). Facilities great overall - everything we needed and more were provided. Information in book was very useful. Improvements (slight). Beds are great, but the pillows should be too. Pillows on beds need replacing, and cushions on chairs and sofa need re-stuffing. Things the venue can't help - but worth mentioning. Drive way too steep to park your car on (without fear of rolling down the hill). Noise from cafe across the road (on a Thursday night).

This property is so good but there are things that are needing repairs eg toilet seat handsoap dispensers and cleaning really has to be addressed.

We were a group of ladies celebrating with special friend that had turned 70. Waikare was in a perfect position for enjoying the village and the beach. The local bus was very close by which took us to Onetangi one day for a fabulous luncheon at Three Seven Two. Another special night celebrating was dinner at the Mudbrick Winery a couple of must dos if you are lucky enough to visit. Waikare was a fabulous house to come home to - a home away from home - and the view from the outside desk was exceptional and played a big part in us all loving the house. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs and on arrival there was a lovely touch with a gift of local honey to welcome us. The only downside for us was the second bedroom showed two beds which would have suited our needs better as we were a group of ladies travelling together but on arrival the room was made up as a queen. At the end of our 5 nights we all agreed if there was one thing that could be improved it would be more comfortable pillows. We did experience some noise from the cafe early morning but it would not put me off staying here again and Waikare would definitely be my number one choice. It was just perfect.

We had an absolutely lovely stay in this home. Most listings embellish or filter the pictures but this listing is better in person than the pictures. The view from the deck is absolutely fantastic, we could have spent the entire time just hanging out on the deck. Being right in the heart of town, close to restaurants and grocery stores was also a plus. Even though it’s right in town, we had absolute privacy from the home. We would definitely recommend this home for a stay in Waiheke!

This was our second stay and we had a marvelous time. It was great to be able to enjoy the expansive deck and fabulous sea views.

We loved our stay here. Well appointed and set up. Views are just incredible. Comfortable beds in the two main rooms. Bunk room is less comfortable and you can hear the noise from the cafe in that room from about 730am. But overall this did not detract from our stay. Thank you!

See above. Can not fault and would highly recommend. Easy walk to beach and village/shops. And bus stop if needed. Very comfy beds and great layout for a small group (7 of us). Lovely decor and everything one could need for a holiday destination. Nice touch of acwelcome gift of good coffee and local honey. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend

We have recently had a family weekend at Waikare over a long weekend to celebrate a significant birthday. We were delighted with both the position overlooking Oneroa and the facilities within the house which for 6 adults of varying ages and a 5 year old child worked extremely well. We would definitely stay again.

Amazing house with stunning views and so close to Oneroa Village . We loved it ! Only negative was our car scraped on the the top of the driveway when we arrived ,so we had to leave it on the road for our stay, otherwise highly recommend .

The place is lovely, modern, clean with fabulous views and location. The only reason I haven’t given it top marks is that although we were aware there was a cafe at the top of the drive away nowhere did it state this place is attached to the back of it. The cafe is only open 8-3 but you could hear people walking around and chairs being moved. If you were a light sleeper in the bunk room it could be a problem.

The location of the property is fabulous, pretty much in Oneroa village and the views from the deck overlook Oneroa Beach were simply stunning. The house was lovely, modern yet really cosy too. The only slight negative we experienced was with the noise from the cafe which is part of the same premises (cafe is the top floor of the house). We could hear chairs being dragged over the floor and the water pump noise constantly going on and off, but was only in morning and didn't ruin our stay.

Waikare is a great property. The view and location is amazing, the house is well set-up and perfect for a small group. We'll definitely be back and would highly recommend the property.

Location was great. Right by the village. Only negative was hearing the footsteps from the cafe above and not really keen on bunk setup. VIew is beautiful, A lovely time shared with family thankyou.

Amazing location, great house! Beautiful stay

Beautiful Bach, great location - in the center of Oneroa a super short stroll from the restaurants and shops and equally to Oneroa Beach. The view from the Bach deck is stunning! The space is great, the kitchen and pantry are well equipped although if you go to the Oyster Inn for dinner, The local for lunch and the Delight cafe for breakfast you may not need to use it!

Great location and view. Felt very relaxed as soon as we walked in the door.
