Location on the beach and between Gen Luna and cloud 9. Initially we had beach house 3, which was great. Loved our sea view and being able to swim in high tide. Had lots of mosquitoes though and our son who slept upstairs didn’t sleep too good because of the heat. Air con was excellent for us, but didn’t reach him at the top. Then we moved to jungle house 4. No sea view, but less mosquitoes and we all slept well. WiFi didn’t work well there though.

For our son, I would say aircon. He says it wasn’t strong enough for him in house 4 either.

No gen set so be prepared to endure the hit and humid weather during power outage which is a very common thing in Siargao as an island.

I like the beachfront location very much. I woke up to the sunrise and I get to swim to the sea right away during high tide.

It's main selling point is the location. Situated on the quiet side of General Luna. Best of all is the beach front with a fantastic view of the beach, beautiful garden and well-manicured lawn facing the beach. The cottage I got also has a veranda facing the beach. Room is spacious, clean and airy and airconditioning is good. There's also a mini ref and they have provided ample drinking water supply. The staff I've dealt with are friendly. Appreciate that they have provided an electrical extension inside the room. It's very handy.

The water dispenser provided in the room doesn't have temperature control. You cannot drink hot water. I'm a coffee drinker, so I just need coffee at certain times of the day. I asked for a kettle and their staff confirmed it by email in my booking. However, there is no kettle in the room and when I asked their staff at the reception, she said it is their policy NOT to provide any to their guests. I'm afraid this is a deal-breaker for me and had I known earlier, I wouldn't have booked their property. Also, their restaurant opens quite late, so even if i want to buy coffee from them before I go out to the tours for the day, it wasn't possible. The staff suggested we go to Shaka Bar in another location if we want to enjoy an early morning breakfast with coffee. However, that defeats the purpose of staying there and it's not advisable to be travelling when one has a tour in a matter of minutes. The room doesn't have a TV. As I'm not really a TV watcher it's fine. What I couldn't accept is that their Wifi is very weak and there's no internet for the most part of the day. It only becomes accessible around midnight and very early in the morning. Most of the time, i had to use the data on my mobile phone for internet. The bathroom is spacious but I think needs renovation work. The water in the faucet takes sometime before it starts flowing. Also, the water from their showers are kinda murky. I saw a cockroach once on the floor. However, i think they anticipated that as they have provided an insect spray in the room. There isn't much kitchen utensils to speak of inside the room. As they open quite late for breakfast, and we need to eat a semblance of breakfast before going on tours for the day, I would have expected for them to provide some plates, a bread knife and spoons and fork. However, there was only one mug, one fork and two drinking glasses.

The staff were excellent and Khing was very helpful. The food was delicious. It's on the beachfront and a short walk or bike ride from everything. There is strong fans and AC in the shack. Overall, a good experience.

We were in shack 4, which isnt sealed so mosquitoes get in everywhere, but they do have nets over the beds.. The bathroom and kitchen could do with a renovation. There was wood rot and mould. Shower pressure wasn't great. The bed linen was stained. For the money you pay, it could be better presented.

extremely friendly staff ! thanks for the hospitality the territory is not too big - only a few villas, so it makes the atmosphere very private and cozy a great bonus was the cafe & restaurant, with great food, very convenient for eating dinner or during the day our villa also had the fridge pre-filled with beers (for purchase), which was very convenient convenient location, close to both cloud 9 and general luna - we could walk in both direction to explore

everything. very relaxing

Beach house I had for 4 nights was amazing, the view and atmosphere there was fantastic. Highly recommended. Thanks to staff that they was so nice and food was sooo good :)

We chose Greenhouse Siargao because of its Tripadvisor rating. The property is not really up to our standards, but maybe this is because we are not used to eco-friendly accommodations. The Good: (1) There are only 5 houses in the property. The place feels really private and peaceful. (2) The property has a lot of open spaces in a beachfront setting. (3) We like hearing the sound of the waves. (4) Food in Greenhouse Café is good.

The Bad: (1) We specifically requested for fresh towels before leaving the property every day, so we assumed that these fresh towels will be waiting for us when we return from our day tours, but no, we always have to request for fresh towels every afternoon after we arrive in our beach house. We bring towels when we go on day tours, so these towels get wet with sea water. We like to shower after we return from our tours, and we want to use fresh towels, rather than re-use towels that were already wet with sea water. At a minimum, we expected fresh towels every day. (2) The beach house is not cleaned every day. We expected that floors will be swept every day because guests unavoidably bring sand to the rooms. It is not nice to return from a day tour to a dirty floor. If there is a broom in the beach house, we would be happy to sweep the floors ourselves, but there is no broom. We stayed for 3 nights and the room was cleaned on the third day only, and the cleaners forgot to take out the garbage in all the trash cans after they have cleaned. (3) The faucet is constantly leaking; not sure how eco-friendly this is. Their cleaners have surely seen this leaking faucet. (4) The roof is leaking in the main bedroom and some of our stuff got wet. (5) If you are going to ask for surf lessons, please be sure to get the quote in writing to avoid any miscommunications. (6) On the day we left, there were torrential rains, we asked the manager if she knew the airport’s number so that we can call to ask if our flight is delayed or cancelled. The airport number we can find online is not working. We had expected that the manager would know how to contact the airport, but she did not know the airport’s number as well. It would also have been nice if the manager offered to help us in case our flight was cancelled, e.g. arrange for transfer back to General Luna and to stay at the premises again, but no help was offered. There were no outgoing Cebu Pacific flights that day.
