The owners are the kindest and most welcoming people you can meet!

A very peaceful place. The host who lives next-door has a lot of knowledge about the local area to help you with as well. The quality of the wood inside is lovely and the kitchen has a microwave, toaster, kettle and crockery. Everything you need really. I was here for a wedding at The Larmer Tree nearby. It was ideal for that.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like, to be honest. The postcode I had sent me to a nearby house rather than the cottage itself. But I think that wasn’t the fault of the property.

Leaving the property.

Patronising, socially inept host. Black mould everywhere, dirty floor, unclean plates, mugs, etc. No privacy, lodge located in host’s back garden about 10m from her house, broken blinds in bedroom so anyone could see in. Couldn’t use garden area with our own dog as large out of control dogs were running around every day. (We were told “well done” for taking our dog inside, to protect her from these big dogs). Overpriced. Listed as having WiFi (which it doesn’t). Amenities provided were out of date (some were up to two years out of date). Although we were told the tap water was drinkable, it came out murky with brown floaty bits. We felt like we were always being watched and everything was a problem as the host would always have an issue and something to say when we we’re outside of the lodge (usually shouting over to us from a distance when she had an audience). Awful experience. Wouldn’t recommend.
