The property is very nice, clean and has everything you need except Air Conditioning. The listing is spot on except for 2 places note dock space and one denotes no dock space. I had to call and ask. I was advised that you have to book that in advance. With all of that the trip was great and the area is beautiful. However, the biggest issue is the people who LIVE in the adjacent townhouse. These folks feel is it ok to verbally accost 16 year old kids for 2 different reasons. Would not address the parents. I suggest if you rent this place you are prepared for them.

Reviewer Comments: The location of the rental property was excellent and my dealings with the Taylor Made went smoothly and I found their staff to be professional. However, the towels we were provided had hair embedded in them so I'm not sure how well they were cleaned. The throw rug in the living room was coated with dog hair, so again its' doubtful whether the rug was vacuumed prior to our stay. This was my second your of staying in one of the units in Deep Creek Village and I definitely would return, but I was not impressed with the level of cleanliness this year.

Reviewer Comments: My son and I decided at the last minute to get away for the weekend. We came across this property, and, because of it's availability, I booked it. Super expensive - almost $800 for a 2 night stay. The house itself is in an ideal location. Look out the front - wisp ski slopes, mountain coaster, chair lifts, etc. Look out the back - stairs leading to a wooded area and then the docks to the beautiful lake. It was very hot since the home does not have ac. Even with the blinds drawn and a million fans on full blast, we were still sweating and the dog was panting. It was very dirty. It didn't seem like the home had been cleaned in quite some time. The floors were sticky and there was dust everywhere. The showers were clogged and it took forever for the water to drain. While we were so happy to spend time at the lake, I really felt cheated for spending that much money on what we got.

Reviewer Comments: Overall, our trip to Deep Creek Lake was excellent, but that is because we made the best of it. Taylor Made was a huge disappointment from start to finish. The pictures posted on their website were deceiving; DCV29 is much more run down than it appears in the pictures. We arrived to find DCV29 not cleaned well (bugs, dirt, old food in every room), a cracked and dangerous stove top, a musty basement, and 2 broken windows in the living room. The broken windows were the biggest inconvenience, keeping us from having a cross breeze on the main floor (this house has no AC and only 4 windows total on the main floor). Someone came right away on that first day to look at the windows, but after telling us he would be right back and never coming back, things only got worse. We called and left messages repeatedly for management during that first week and were largely ignored. When we did get call-backs, staff basically told us there is only 1 person who can remedy this situation and we could not get her on the phone. When we finally did speak with her, she was full of excuses and largely unapologetic. Also worth noting, when we booked DCV29, Taylor Made’s website said it sleeps 8 and has a sleep sofa; when we arrived, there was no sleep sofa. Their website had changed since we booked to say it sleeps 6 and we were never notified. The only redeeming parts about DCV29 were the location (right across from Wisp) and the dock. You should know though, if you want to use one of the slips in the dock, Taylor Made will not help make that happen. We will certainly be going back to DCL, but we’ll NEVER book with Taylor Made again and we will certainly never recommend them to friends or family.
