Brevard is a great little mountain town, and there are numerous awesome hikes within 20 or so minutes from here. This house is a great home base for a vacation in Brevard and surrounding areas!

The White Oak Cottage proved to be everything we'd hoped for, and more, during our several weeks in Brevard. Only minutes away from downtown and the Brevard Music Center, located near the edge of town, this well furnished, recently restored older house, with it's attractive landscaping with lots of flowers, large trees, white and gray squirrels, and variety of birds, was perfect for us. The owners, Rick and Denise, do an amazing job providing a very clean and well maintained property. We're definitely looking forward to returning.

The cottage is VERY clean and up to date. There are so many added features that made the stay very enjoyable. Black out curtains in the bedrooms, plus shades. Heater/fan in the bathroom. The owners are so nice, they even had snacks and muffins awaiting for us. It is a very short drive to Brevard. We will definitely stay at the White Oak Cottage on our next visit to Brevard.

The house is newly renovated, clean and comfortable. Great location between downtown and parks. Would highly recommend.

I've stayed here several times and have thoroughly enjoyed my stay every time! This home was recently renovated with high quality materials and finishes. It is very nicely furnished and decorated and the beds are very comfortable. There is an outbuilding for storing and working on bikes. It's also located in a quiet area minutes away from downtown Brevard. Denise and Rick are also very kind and accommodating hosts.

Lovely VRBO! Everything was beautiful, the house was spotless and so welcoming! I loved all the little touches from the handmade shelves and kitchen table to the remodeled bathroom with ceramic tile. It was perfect for a family of 4 adults and we loved our stay at the white oak cottage!! The white squirrel was pretty fun to watch too:) Denise and Rick are awesome hosts!! Thanks for a wonderful experience!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at White Oak cottage. The owners keep the place super clean and made such an effort to make us feel welcome. Denise was even so kind as to bake us some delicious homemade muffins and leave some yummy snacks and drinks as well. We felt so comfortable there. Would absolutely stay there again and highly recommend to others as well! To note for future renters: The fireplace is electric, so you don’t need to bring your own logs. Also, the coffee pot uses ground coffee, no k-cups but the owners had some nice coffee and tea options available on site. Just thought I’d mention to save anyone from any needless packing/shopping. Also, side note, word to the wise: the fireplace can be tricky to start - you aim the remote towards the bottom right of the grate and it should start on up for you 😉

Lovely place to stay! Super clean and has everything you need. Close to everything of interest, amazing white squirrels and birds everyday on bird / squirrel feeders. Would definitely stay again! Thank you for being such thoughtful hosts.

Immaculately clean (better than any other place we've rented in the general area), great location, well stocked with everything necessary, great mattresses, and the hosts could not have been nicer. Even have a separate place to store your bicycles and a gas grill (very clean). We enjoyed the area and will be back!

We were able to watch a white squirrel eating right outside of the kitchen window! Close to downtown Brevard and close to Lake Imaging Parking (popular trailhead for mountain biking in DuPont). We appreciated the bike storage and exercise oriented snacks left in the kitchen (shot blocks and such). Overall great stay and would happily recommend to a friend!

This was our second visit to this property. The home’s amenities and its location were ideal for us as we rode mountain bikes and attended the Pisgah Stage Race. We chatted with Rick and Denise several times over the course of our visit. They are wonderful hosts.

The owners have thought of every last detail to make this a perfect stay. It was clean, comfortable, and close to town.

Of all the properties we’ve stayed in over the years, this home was our favorite including our 15 yo son. Very well appointed and little thoughtful touches made us feel welcome. Location was excellent to downtown. The bike storage was space was great! Looking forward to visiting again

We really enjoyed our long stay at the White Oak Cottage. Rick and Denise are excellent hosts, quickly responsive to any issues or requests, and of course we loved Denise' muffins and the white squirrels and variety of songbirds on the property.

This is a very nice cottage, recommended! Brevard is a great little town and proximity to waterfalls and hiking as well as a nice little downtown is great.

This property is not like the Ritz Carlton. It's better. It's like home. We have stayed in numerous VRBO properties in the last several years and none have matched the important like-home quality provided by this rental. Denise and Rick rehabilitated this older home into a super-nice cottage that is convenient to everything and lacks nothing.in the way of amenities.. I would give it a 10 star review if such a review were available.

Denise & Rick live just next door and while the house is not in the "mountains", it is a very nice place. We saw white squirrels everyday and were very comfortable when we needed to put our feet up. Less than a 5 minute drive to downtown Brevard and about 10 minutes to the entrance of Pisgah National Forest. If we choose this area of western NC again, we would gladly stay here again.

The cleanliness and quality of the property, along with the extras provided by the owners, exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend to any couple looking to get away for the weekend to hike, bike, go out to dinner in Brevard, etc. My wife and I would definitely stay again!

White Oak Cottage is a lovely home in which to stay. It’s clean, quiet, & private. The white squirrels & birds are truly entertaining. The Wilsons are attentive hosts who know the area well. The storage shed is very handy if traveling with outdoor gear. We will definitely book again.

This property met and exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect place to vacation while visiting the many waterfalls in the area. The house had everything we needed. We enjoyed having the bird feeder outside the dining room window, where we could watch the birds and white squirrels each morning and evening. The decor and furnishings were very nice.
