Very fun, clean, and lots to see and visit. We walked to the beach each day. Bring your own game favs. We forgot scrabble, and none in the house. Great Fun!

My husband, adult son and I stayed in the Troll’s Den. It was so charming, had everything we needed for our stay plus more. It was very clean, exceptionally maintained and well stocked. The Beachwalk is a great community. Although it was off season, we enjoyed the walk to the beach. The owners live right next door, we had the pleasure of meeting them. They take great pride in their properties and it shows. This was our first time in the area, we will be back!

The rental was very clean, fun, and perfect for our family of four young kids. The whole house is decorated in a trolls theme (which my girls didn't like at first, but eventually loved) and is very fun to look at and has a fun nature to it. The whole community is full of themed houses, very colorful, and would be so much fun to see during the peak season. We came during the off season as a pass through, but still enjoyed just walking the community and going to the Indiana Sand Dunes just down the road. There is a nice park just a few blocks away for kids to play at and the Michigan Lake beach is within walking distance. Stores are 10-15 minutes away for supplies. We enjoyed our stay.

This house is cute, clean, and very close (less than 10-minute walk) to Lake Michigan! Awesome amenities like aa pool, ping pong, pickle ball counts, and more.

Great trip! Property was exactly as described. We had everything we needed for our stay and the communication was excellent. It’s a short walk to the beach and an amazing community. Our kids enjoyed the beautiful playground as well. Thanks for a great stay! We would definitely return.

Came for a family wedding. Family rented 4 houses which all were close by…and close to local host family. Loved September weather and quality restaurants and places we could walk to and beautiful sunsets. Area is just getting better as the years go by.

House was very nice. Location was close to the park, community center, neighborhood lake, and pool. Walking distance to Lake Michigan as well but a golf cart would be more convenient (available for rent from activity center). Did have an issue with noise at a neighboring house but owner was receptive to this. Otherwise great house and great area!

The house was as described. It did say there were beach toys and all we saw was a wagon. We did not bring any beach towels, and there were not beach towels in the home. The full bathroom needs to be cleaned/updated. It is small, but we knew that. The home worked for our short stay at Beachwalk.

We love this area of Michigan City. This is our 3rd trip here. First time at the The Trolls Den which is perfectly located within the Beachwalk community. You’ll have plenty of activities to enjoy during your stay and access to the nice beach! The owner is very responsive and seems to aim to ensure your stay is great!

This was the perfect house for a family of five. We had the best summer vacation.

It was a beautiful stay, they house was great, the owner is very nice and helpful. The only criticism was TV issues. We didn't watch to much TV but it's nice to have before bed. I believe the owner was going to correct this after we left since the main bedroom needed a replacement. Aside from that everything else was fantastic. We will definitely be back.

We had a great time in this Beachwalk property. The house was very clean and just as described. The shower was nice and hot. So nice to have linens, towels and basic kitchen supplies provided - even tea bags. We stayed here while attending a nearby birding festival and it was very convenient. Thank you Anders for hosting us.

My adult daughter and I were in town for a wedding and opted for this property instead of a hotel room. I’m so glad we did! The property is very nice, and equipped with everything I needed for cooking and lots of games and DVD’s for entertainment as well. The neighborhood is very cute, and though this is off season, the amenities look like they would be a blast too. The host was awesome and very responsive. I felt comfort in knowing he was available if we needed anything! We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our little family reunion in Trolls Den. Rooms were comfortable, kitchen had most supplies we needed for family meals, it was pleasant to walk around the neighborhood, and I could easily walk to a lovely Lake Michigan beach.

Great location- walk to the lake and around the neighborhood. Nice bedrooms, comfortable furniture and a well appointed kitchen. It was nice to have 2 bathrooms, too. Nice amenities like a front porch, fire pit and wagon. I would love to come back in the summer!

My requirements for a good place to stay are minimal - a clean, well-lit place with a comfortable bed and plenty of hot water, plus strong wi-fi. The Troll Den met all these requirements, and then some. We appreciated the carpet treads on the stairs (for safety), the heating system worked well, there were plenty of outlets so we could charge our devices, etc. I definitely would recommend this cottage and would stay here again.

I stayed here with my kids- ages 6, 8, 9, & 11. They loved the bunk bed room with plenty of board games to play, and the troll hole was such a fun surprise for them to play in. The house had plenty of room for a family of 5. There was a short leisurely walk to the boardwalk and over the sand dunes to the lake, and the entire Beachwalk community was very peaceful and quiet during our stay. We would love to come back here during the warmer summer months and get to use the pool. We also were grateful for the beach wagon and even extras like beach chairs and an umbrella needed for a rainy afternoon spent shopping at the nearby Lighthouse outlets. There’s plenty to do in the area, and I’d also recommend driving about 20 minutes up the road to New Buffalo, MI. The Galien River Marsh Preserves was a great place to walk with beautiful scenery, and a tower overlook. We were also about to walk down the beach to the lighthouse and it was fun to see. We also had the beach almost all to ourselves the entire time, and the blue water of Lake Michigan felt like we were at the ocean. Thanks for the excellent accommodations, Anders!
