My wife, mother and I spent the week of Christmas. It is one of the best times of year to be in Charleston and this home is the best way to do it. It is away from the noise and crowds and has an unmatched rooftop panoramic view, featuring Morris Island lighthouse and spectacular sunrises and you go to sleep and wake up, literally on the beach! House is well equipped for a large group, so we were quite comfortable. The elevator is a nice touch, especially with a week's worth of provisions. Jimmy was available for calls, even during the holiday for any questions. We will definitely be booking again! I only wish I could include some of the sunrise pics I took.

This location really worked well for us. We were traveling with some elderly people. They could feel like they were on the beach without actually being on the beach. The elevator was wonderful. They didn't have to take any stairs!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The location was perfect and we loved how easy the beach access was.Thanks Jimmy, we look forward to staying here again sometime.

We arrived at exactly check in time and met the housekeeper leaving. House was perfect and the elevator made all the difference with bags and groceries. Driveway was a bit tricky to negotiate backing out of each day. Overall was a wonderful experience. House does need a few small paint jobs however. The half bath on the main floor has a very scary looking ceiling. Thanks Jimmy.

Great location. Loved the easy access to beach. We had plenty of room fir the 11 of us. Kitchen had everything you needed to cook meals. The master downstairs has two full size beds not queens as in description. I appreciated the extra beach chairs and towels. We also loved the privacy of the beach area. We weren't on top of people. The owner was awesome to work with. We would go back in a heartbeat.

The home was excellent. Located right on the sand, it was the perfect getaway for our family. Well appointed with generous amenities, we had a great time. Of particular excellence though, is this host. We’ve often had great VRBO experiences, but Jimmy really went above and beyond in his kindness. It felt like he was personally invested in making sure we had some quality family time with absolutely no worries. He probably has no idea how much that meant, but it meant the world to us. We live VERY BUSY lives and stepping away from worries is not a luxury we often experience, but that’s truly how it felt during our stay. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful oasis at the beach!

What a wonderful location! Great access to the beach for all ages and the kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed for making family meals. We saw dolphins every morning from the deck and truly enjoyed the space in this house- plenty of room for all of us. Couldn’t have been a better vacation over the Fourth of July on the quieter end of the island.

From the outside this house is gorgeous, right on the beach, literally a few steps to the water. Inside the house needs some love. The walls were dirty with scuff marks and grunge. I understand that vacation rentals can be rough on furniture, appliances, walls, door knobs and cookware. Each of these were in need of repair or replacements. TV’s were undersized for the rooms they were in. After reading the description on VRBO and the reviews, my expectations were high only to be disappointed the minute we opened the door. The house needs some love and care, some paint along with new great room and balcony furniture. I do have to say that the owner was very helpful on the one small issue we had with the hot water heater. He even gave us a rebate for us to take our family out to breakfast. To me, he went over and above to make us happy over a very small issue.

Great spacious house with a great location. We had 6 adults and 4 children (ages 3 to 8) and we had plenty of room. The location on the ocean and so close to Folly Beach restaurants was perfect. The check in instructions were great and the manager was great to work with and quick to respond.

Plenty of parking house has excellent views of the sunrise and sunsets. Elevator was very helpfully for my mom. Thanks again enjoyed our stay

We had such a great stay. This is an amazing house. Great host! Hope to come back again next year!!!

I am conflicted on what to really say but want anyone that goes to this home to go in with your eyes wide open. Location is great. The water is RIGHT there-like a full moon high tide it is hitting the foundation of the house. The house itself just has some deferred maintenance issues. For example, some blinds are broken, walls need to be painted- some spots are just spackled, oven takes forever to heat up, etc. There is not enough outdoor furniture. 4 chairs on the main balcony, none on the balconies off the bedrooms, roof top has limited furniture, recliner chairs in living room are worn and not all are functioning great but it was nice for everyone to have their own seat. The owner, Jimmy, was very responsive for any issues we had. The AC was out in part of the upstairs and he had the technicians there quickly, we needed a grill and the one there was rusted out so Jimmy had a grill delivered (FB Marketplace type), there were no lounger chairs on the rooftop so he had some delivered (from FB marketplace type again). I know he has a lot going on in his life personally so I appreciated the response time. However, it doesn't hide the fact that the house needs some TLC. It is definitely a good location and met our needs just go in knowing it is not professionally decorated and in perfect or near perfect condition.

Very close to the water. The roof terrace is amazing. The AV system needs upgrades. Not that it was that important, but watching regular TV was difficult. The projector is only for DVDs and the regular TV was very small and the screen is faded. The house was probably very nice at one point, but it's showing it's age a little. Lots of outlets didn't work, including all on the 4th floor terrace. Great master shower with lots of water pressure. The master bedroom is huge, but the other bedrooms are smallish and filled with beds. We had to be creative with our sleeping segments arrangements, as family members came and went. Parking was a little tight too, and only room for one car under. Elevator worked every time, once you know the secret. Overall, a great week despite cooler weather the last week of May a little strange for Charleston. Went out to eat to Rita's and it didn't disappoint. Except the margs were a little sour, still good.

We booked this property more than a year prior to a family wedding; I wrote the owner 10 weeks out and he hever responded about whether there were certain handicap accessible features in the home (I contacted him upon arrival to let him the house had a live roach and was unsecured; he said 'I've never locked a door when staying there...might be safest part of SC :)'. You also have to walk up a flight of stairs to retrieve key to front door and then ride elevator down to ground level and open it). I notified him that the living room tv could not be turned on and he responded, "I too have a rough time figuring out that stuff. I always have one of my children with me, and kids these days understand electronics...I'm sorry I can't be of much help with that...I usually spend 10-15 minutes trying to figure out that stuff. I need to get my home theater crew back out there to simplify all of it. It's a nightmare...my sincere apologies." I then informed him about mold and stains on upstairs master bathroom and the fact that their 'junk in that closet prevented its use by renters. Also there was NO outdoor furniture on the third or fourth floor balconies despite his insistence it was there. Right side under house is nailed shut so had to jockey four cars continuously. I contacted vrbo and outlined 25 legitimate concerns and he said he would fly out the next week to remedy them. Both trashcans at house were left full of trash! No cost reduction or deposit has been posted!

We are a group of friends who have known each other for over 30 years. Everyone raved at what a perfect place this house was. The location was great. The views from every room in the house were spectacular. I booked this place in part because the recliners in the living room allowed for a larger group to have comfortable seating together. All large rentals should do this. It was so perfect that the group is talking about making this house a yearly event.

Wonderful property location. 1)roof wooden rocking chairs are splintered, unpainted, with exposed rusty nails. Will not rock. 2) first floor metal deck chairs had rusted screws and one collapsed on a guest (no injury). 3) First floor suite had a ceiling leak on to the bedroom floor when it rained.

The house was a perfect fit for our 7 adults. Had a few other family members over for a Christmas meal and the seating areas for dining were perfect. When we arrived, the power wasn't on but the owner took care of it right away! At high tide, the water was literally at the house! A real adventure for us!

Elevator was very helpful . There was no kitchen towels, bath mats, and just one towel set for each guest. We purchased kitchen towels and a few washcloths. The washer dryer was nice to keep the towels clean. The house is in need of some interior tlc. We really enjoyed our stay. We would stay again.

This house was on my wish list! Some of the pictures need to be retaken. There’s a notebook with some instructions in it. They need to add how to get the TV to transfer to the big screen. They need to add some instructions on the elevator. They need a local yard and cleanup person. We worked around the things that wasn’t done. We cleaned up the parking area. We cleaned up underneath the house so we could cook. We moved the broken refrigerators so that they weren’t so noticeable. The view is incredible!!! The inside of the house was great just needs some TLC! They are working on painting inside. We had a great time and would go back!

Could not get in touch with property owner upon arrival. We had not received entry code and could not get in the house. VRBO associate, Joshua, was very helpful and kind. He got us in, within 15 minutes! The AC didn't work on the main floor. Owner was not responsive to VMs or texts, until we called VRBO, the second day. He then left a message to apologize for not getting back with us and refunded $300 for our troubles, which helped. The house is large and was adequate for our needs. However, when we arrived, we were met by an overgrown driveway, two old rusted out refrigerators on the entry/carport level, with four full or almost full large trash cans, broken/rusty outdoor furniture/grill, etc. scattered around. We figured out how operate the elevator, no instructions were posted or received. The AC repair team came the second day for repairs and changed the filthy filter. There were several areas of mold around kitchen windows and in bathrooms, which could be seasonal. Many scuffs and patched holes on the walls, paint is definitely needed. The beds were not the most comfortable for sure, and take your own pillow. One bath towel, hand towel and washcloth were provided per bed, for our 5 night stay. The overhead projector never worked and the owner does not know how to operate, no instructions. The television is extremely small for its location and the size of the room, and has a much less than quality picture. The location RIGHT ON THE BEACH, saved this trip. This house could be a show place with some TLC. This group of 82 to 61 year-old cousins has traveled together every year for 13 years. The price of this rental is not comparable to others we have stayed Th is property has great unrealize potential

Perfect location and house for a large group! Plenty of space and the view….could go on and on about the view!! The setup of the house was perfect for our large group and a few extra we had over! Definitely would stay here again!
