The location and the nice atmosphere

location all about the location but in winter you need to be a decent skier to get down the icy track at the end of the day. staff were super attentive and food was excellent.

we loved the location- the restaurant had closed one week prior due to poor ski access so we had the place to ourselves

Excellent breakfast and very good evening meals, typical Savoyard dinners, a little on the heavy side with lots of sauces and cheese. Very good atmosphere in the Chalet, it is very quiet in the evenings, perfect if you want to relax after a full day at the slopes skiing. Open air Jacuzzi and sauna by the snow. Owners were very helpful in dealing with an issue at the end of the stay (non availability of taxis to bring us to Aime).

Wi-fi is almost inexistent - same for telephone data/4g - so bring reading material or download movies in advance otherwise you will be bored if you otherwise need access to technology. If you are planning to come by taxi to the parking L'Orgere (where the pickup to the Chalet is supposed to happen) then plan accordingly, don't even try to "walk" from the ski renting place with luggage and skis, etc, as you are in for a very nasty surprise as it is a extremely long walk from the town center- proper planning is very important.

The property was in an amazing location, great views, lovely rooms, lovely staff, very clean, great break from everything !

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Had a fabulous few days of skiing. Great food and lovely environment. Would highly recommend.

The ultimate in ski-in, ski-out. A chair lift directly outside the hotel. The room and bed were comfortable and the sauna was nice to use at the end of the day. The staff were very helpful and the service was great. Please note that they only speak a little English. There was no-wifi, so the kids started complaining. The staff offered to allow us to connect to their mobile phone, but that required us to ask every time (we did it once).

You had to be back at the hotel by the last lift and once there you were trapped for the evening. It would have been nice if the hotel were able to offer a shuttle service to the nearest village - even if they only offered this once a week it would have been nice. The food was good, but there was no choice. It's worth knowing this as if you have dietary requirements you need to let them know in advance.
