When you pay £170 for a night ima hotel that should realistically be no more than £120 you would expect breakfast in with the price and for the reception to already know you’ve paid

Parking instructions could have been clearer. Especially as an IHG member it is discounted.

The location was good.

The room was not fit for anyone to stay in. Something was leaking from the bathroom so the rooms carpet was sodden, wet and uncomfortable to walk on. The room also smelt like smoke and the aircon didn’t work.

Check in time of 4pm is too late, we arrived early so had lunch & drinks at the hotel - we were going out at 3.30pm & asked if we could get into room any earlier, we were told they would speak to housekeeping & let us know when room is ready - despite checking at least 3 times over the course of 3 hours our room was still not ready until 4pm! Obviously they need more housekeeping staff! We was woken at 4am by very noisy disrespectful guests who were making noise for over 2 hours yet we did not once hear any security come to speak to them, overall a terrible nights sleep!!

We had a great experience and the staff were very attentive and friendly at all times. Nothing was too much effort. We thought the rooms were very clean and spacious just what you need for an overnight stay.

Although the restaurant was very well presented and the food was lovely. I personally thought that the waiter’s needed a bit more training on knowing the menu and keeping an eye on the their tables. Having said that they weee very polite and approachable.

We were woken up at 4 am by someone knocking loudly on the door and running off. People running up and down the corridor in the early hours. Screaming and shouting outside our room window at 4 am. We were in room 003, ground floor. It didn't feel safe and had to close the window for fear someone might throw things in. We were awake for the rest of the night which impacted the long drive the following day. The incident was reported to the reception desk at 4:30 am but nothing was done. When we told the receptionists at check out, they were uninterested and blamed it on a hen party. this was very unacceptable and it's unlikely we will ever re-visit. i will be amazed if this complaint is ever dealt with.

The room was extremely hot, we were unable to keep our window open due to smokers next door. This was totally unacceptable & against the law, as we'd booked expecting a clean air environment. I tried calling hotel reception at 2am, 3am, ,3.30, no one answered , I am a non smoker with asthma, this made my stay very uncomfortable. There was alot of noise in the hall way at various times throughout the night Breakfast had a large variety but slow turn around on fresh items

I had the worst night sleep ever could here ever from next door and people running up and down the hallway and shouting also the couple next door was up most of the night playing hide the pickle and she was definitely having fun as all we could hear was her at one point I thought she was getting killed . That’s not the hotel’s fault but had 0 sleep and had to drive all the way home to Devon was not a fun experience

Charges for carpark

I asked for a disabled room and I got it. Wet room with a chair with Dove shampoo and body wash. The room was spacious with large TV. It had bathrobes and slippers if needed. The use of a gym and pool with jacuzzi and sauna were free. It had a nice space around the bar so no overcrowding.

Honestly - nothing. We didn't eat here so cannot comment on that, our stay was fantastic.

The staff were brilliant!

The food was not the best. Breakfast sausages & bacon were very cheap. Dined in the restaurant and ordered pizza - worst pizza ever. Very little topping, you could see the base through the tomato sauce. Bar meals were better, great salad.

The rooms were very clean with good facilities and the beds very comfortable. They were in a quiet area of the hotel which was requested. The food (dinner and breakfast) was very good with a great choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was also impressed that although not requested, out rooms were made up and supplies replaced.

We came as a family with children and requested to have adjacent rooms but we were not even in the same corridor. We appreciate that this could have been because it was half term and our booking was made about two weeks prior to travel.

I asked for a refund of my booking shortly after checking in 60 minutes after checking in I requested a refund as bugs were in the room and they couldn’t offer me an alternative room Still waiting to be refunded for the room and breakfast I had paid for I asked for a refund on the parking fee paid also this also still remains to be settled
