Everything could not fault it

Good breakfast.

Shower not working. Small bed squashed in a small room. Should be a single room occupancy. Noisy and smelly extractor next to window. Went off at 8.30pm. Staff too slow to respond to shower complaint. Manager satisfactorily dealt with the matter on morning of leaving. Sha.e spoilt a nice inn and stay.

Went there throughout the years from the 70’s, as expected things change, slightly disappointed

Cosy Inn above a pub/restaurant and perfectly centered in Hawkshead. The reservations for dinner that come with the room actually worked out well since several of the restaurants in the village were either closed or remodeling. The Queens Head is a perfect staging point for hikes through the hills and lakes in the area.

The main bar area has the most welcoming and warm feeling. The staff were friendly, personable, helpful. I could go on and on about how much I enjoyed staying here. The food was great, breakfast each morning was wonderful. I’m looking forward to my second visit. Honestly, it was the break I needed!

The Queens Head is in the heart of the village, and the atmosphere is so relaxed. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious. I also ate here in the evening.

All good. There are no negatives for myself. I will add one comment, if you are not a dog friendly person, this village is not for you. All pubs allow dogs in and treat them very well.
