The location and the peace and quite atmosphere

Where to begin, history, charm, perfectly manicured grounds? Low Head Pilot Station has it all. Anita and Darren ensured we had a great stay. Check in was a breeze and we had dinner delivered to our house on the first evening. The house was warm, cozy and well equipped. The property is perfectly located for anyone who is looking to get out and explore the surrounding beaches and bays. We will definitely be returning.

fantastic historic location. cottages have been beautifully preserved and well maintained. They were sparkling clean, comfortable & warm and cozy. The museum and their fabulous staff made the history of Low Head come to life for us. absolutely amazing museum ~ it was a highlight of our visit to Tasmania. If the museum staff hadn’t been so friendly and passionate about the history of Low Head, we could have missed out on such a memorable experience. thank you sincerely Jane & Adrian Boys Western Australia

The views were amazing, watching the sunrise and set was gorgeous. The Penguins visited right outside the door every evening and morning. Plenty of heating and electric blankets on beds, ensured we were comfortable inside when it was cold and windy outside

Clean. Well equipped. Cosy. Quiet. Warm. Bed was very comfortable.

The couch. Mantle piece in bedroom was a bit of a hazard for midnight toilet trips.

Beautiful heritage cottage very well update with modern facilities. Very comfortable for a couple to stay. Great grounds to explore on the pilot station site. Quiet and easily accessible. Stayed in summer.

Just the instructions for the microwave oven would have been good, but we coped :)

Great location to watch sunset. Unfortunately we couldn't make it and arrived at late midnight. Anita is super nice, not just help me with the check in at night, also offer a late check out which is very thoughtful. Beds are all comzy and huge space in the house which is enough room for a group visit. Lucky we saw galaxy when we arrived and that is remarkable.

Bed linen are not that clean with some marks. Only one toilet for a group is not that convenient.

location, size

this is a really unique place to stay at. it was a treat to live in a 150 year old school house that was so beautifully presented. there were heaters all over the house and the kitchen was well-equipped and modern. the walk to the lighthouse at sunset was magical and there were so many stars! (since it's dark enough) my only regret was not looking out for penguins in the area, although I heard them at night and close to sunrise. it's a short drive to town where we could get our meals and groceries. the 3 hour drive to get here was totally worth it. will recommend this to everyone and hope we get to be back to stay for a few more days in future.

the water was too choppy and the waterfront too rocky to have some water play (really minor in the scheme of things)
