Lovely tenants, who helped us to get a guided tour (in French!) in the early morning since we did not get stupa entrance tickets to Borobudur. Very pleasant family room, and wonderful local breakfast 🍜 I definitely recommend this place

Little bit running water in the bathroom but it was manageable.

L'accueil de la famille en général, très gentille. Avec une mention spéciale pour Yusuf, le propriétaire, qui a toujours été disponible pour me donner des conseils et m'aider. Il m'a aidé à réserver mes billets pour visiter Borobudur, mon billet de train pour Malang, et m'a trouvé un chauffeur pour m'emmener à la gare : ) Lorsque l'on arrive quelque part et que l'on n'a pas tout préparé en amont, savoir que l'on pourra compter sur quelqu'un sur place pour nous aider est un point sacrément positif !!!

La mosquée qui réveille la nuit (mais c'est souvent le problème en Indonésie !)

Schneller, unkomplizierter Check-In. Die Gastfamilie ist sehr lieb und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück wurde uns auch außerhalb der Frühstückszeit serviert, da wir uns durch den Tempelbesuch verspätet hatten.

Kein Moskitonetz beziehungsweise keine Aufhängemöglichkeit für ein Moskitonetz vorhanden.

My stay at Maher house was an amazing experience. The location is walking distance from Borobudur, a literal 1O minutes. And, in the same area there is a whole street of stores and places to buy food. Maher house is located in the village, which is great because you get to enjoy village life and maybe interact with the friendly locals. Plus, there’s a lot of cool chickens walking around. Maher house was very clean, and it had a very peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast in the morning was made fresh and it was delicious! Yusuf and his wife were great hosts, their main objective is for their guests to be comfortable. Thanks again!

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like, maybe the fact that I only stayed 2 nights.

Fabulous stay. Great hosts. Room was immaculate. Air Con unit is new and clean. Lots of hot water in shower. Comfortable large bed. New, immaculate hot water-cold water machine to make drinks in the communal area Communal area was very clean. Quiet road only 5 min walk away from the temple. Lovely family who were helpful and speak English. Laundry was arranges for us and they can sort out any trips you might want. So lovely to dry out after we had spent 6 days in a more traditional room and the monsoon rains meant everything was damp. This was lovely to come to ans feel clean again. We had the downstairs room which also had a small seating area/porch ans front door - lovely to have a breeze and to enjoy sun and shade and watch street life. Lovely quiet neighbourhood. Would definitely recommend this place and spending time here rather than the city - we had 2 nights but wished we had relaxed more ans had longer.

The only small comment would be that western breakfast was not as good as other places we have stayed.

Large room, very friendly owners. The owners went above and beyond helping us to call the hospital when we needed one after we had to do a last minute vaccination.

Bathroom was a bit mouldy but it was clean.

Una maravillosa familia gestiona este alojamiento, pequeño y tranquilo. El desayuno es escepcional, tradicional y local a tu gusto. Te asesoran en cualquier duda sobre opciones turisticas en la zona y alquileres. Tienen un grandisimo corazon. Me ha encantado concerles y ver como progresan en la consecución de dus objetivos. Volveremos a vernos estoy seguro. Victor y Claudia.
