Dinner at The Cardrona Hotel was excellent. The food was delicious especially the Beef Wellington. Our apartment was beautiful. It was 100 m up the road from the pub and brand new. Very comfortable and well equipt and styled.

We stay at Cardrona Hotel most years when we come down for a weeks ski trip. As always, the food was great, the room was cozy, clean and warm and the hotel had a good atmosphere.

Staff were a bit rude and sarcastic when asking about the mountain and weather forecast. A less friendly team then the times we’ve stayed previously.

Quiet place to stay. Close to the Ski resort.

minimum snow, so accept the situation and enjoy mate.

Historical hotel with renovated facilities, had a wonderful stay, didn’t want to leave.

It is really a pleasure to stay in a historical hotel, and everything inside is so beautiful! The room is not big, but comfortable. It’s a hot water bath outside, cute and warm for a travel day. And highly recommend to have a meal there!

Not a lot, we stayed the night but couldn’t get in the bar to eat as it was full of tourists.

The room was so small it was ridiculous, so claustrophobic, the TV was from the 70’s sellotape holding the filthy remote together. We had room 19 which was virtually on the roadside. Nothing to hold the sash window open so had to use an empty beer bottle.. classy ehh?

Most beautiful and interesting setting. Great atmosphere everywhere, inside and outside. Great food. Fireplace outside in the gardens and inside the pub. Comfy bed. Tasteful antique feel to furnishings and bathroom. Good shower. Staff were awesome. Within striking distance to Alpine resort and Queenstown and Wanaka.

No cocktails! Buy hey, minor complaint! Room a little cramped, especially getting into, and ancient analogue tv. Just saying...

there are a lot of hotels with better rooms facilities etc but this place is full of character and very cosy a place you will always remember

The Chef does not understand that people with gluten free and dairy intolerance need to eat and it is not just a fad.The rest of the staff were amazing .

the Garden is stunning , fabulous outdoor restaurant , comfortable , quiet , clean room , modern with tea making and windows that open . glad we stayed here instead of Wanaka

Neighbours next villa were very loud till well after midnight. Didn't belong to hotel, so hard to get them to be quiet. No fans or A/C in villa was a bit hot for summer

Location very convenient to discover Cardrona Valley and skiing , horse riding… very good food

Location is what its all about for us. We want to be as close to the mountain as possible.

'Didn't like' is a bit more than needed but it is expensive we would love to stay more often.

Very noisy. Upstairs and next door neighbours could be heard throughout the night. So very little sleep.
