very nice and funy place

Very nice location! Exciting to stay in a prison cell!

The sleeping room was not in the prison itself! It was in the old prison hospital.

Ordering/reserving breakfast was not clear in the facilty itself.

Prison doors very noisy. Expensive for what you get. ( have to put covers on your own bed linen). Like a youth hostel. Noisy. Reception closes early and starts late. I didnt see any staff from 21.00 to 9.00 so cant really comment on them. Was interesting to be there but wouldnt go again.

It is an interesting place, very quiet and peaceful. I would like to return and explore further, it is much more than place to stay, it is an attraction in itself. If i had brought some food, I could have made a nice dinner, in the shared kitchen area which was very clean and nice, and there were nice places to sit just outside on a warm evening. I also liked I could come and go without dealing with receptionists etc. Just scan myself in and out whenever I want, I like that. The staff I did speak to upon check-in, were very nice and very helpful.

While the bed linen was super clean and fresh, the mattress needed replacing. It was comfortable enough, but a little stained and I found hairs, which could be better, but it was not awful, just needs replacing I think, or cleaned a bit more thoroughly. In general the place was quite clean and nice, it was just the mattress area itself. I also expected from the website, that I would be staying in the actual prison building, in reality, guests are housed in a smaller block next to the main prison, which was fine, but I was slightly disappointed I didn't get to see the inside of the actual prison, but I will look in there if I return one day. My room was still a real jail cell, with bars on the window and all that, which was what I came to experience, so it was all ok in the end. Overall I had a good experience, and would return.

Bed was more comfortable than expected. No waiting time to use shared bathroom etc.

None of the plugs in the room worked, so no possibility to put on reading light or top up mobile phone in the room.

Unique experience, not depressing at all. Nice photo shooting site.

Cleanness, Service, Equipments

The place, the history around it and the fact that we had a lovely guide the next day to tell us how the prison used to be used. Like the fact that the sheets and towels were wrapped up in a cleaning back so we had to make our beds our self - maybe just like in prison? ;) We like that it were a bit old and tried to show how things used to be like.

We checked into a dirty room, in the sense that there were dust most places, and the sick was black from dirty that hadn't been removed. The lamps by the beds didn't work and we got electricity shock from the power outlet by the door. We did send a text by phone to inform about the dangerous electricity and told it in reception as well. Reception didn't seem to bother and we never heard anything from phone number who received our text.

Sleeping in a place like that was a great experience. We were able to check-in late
