Wonderful time with family and grandkids! So much to do on the property- trail walking, fishing, camp fires and front porch rocking chairs- beautiful landscaping and the house exceeded expectations! Highly recommend!

This property is such a lovely place that our 3 teenagers didn't desire to go anywhere else (except the Barbie movie). Many acres of exquisite landscaping combined with natural woods, interior of property is beautifully designed and decorated, owners are wonderful. Our little dogs ran around unleashed for the first time because we were so secluded. Very close to several cute towns, I'm sure the restaurants are good but we chose to enjoy the home. Will return.

We had a wonderful stay at this private property! We enjoyed exploring the trails, fishing in the pond, and the fire pit. The inside of the home was beautiful as well with custom details throughout. We hope to return again soon!

Stayed here with the family, including two teenagers and a dog. Beautiful house and surroundings. Great to explore the nearby trails and South Haven is only a short drive away. I think this would be a little bit of tight fit for a larger group but other than that it is perfect vacation spot! Thanks!

My wife and two Bernese Mountain Dogs spent a wonderful weekend on this idyllic property. The home was comfortable and clean and had probably the best-appointed kitchen we have experienced. The plates, cups, glasses--everything was high-quality, abundant and matched (which is not always the case). Copious amounts of cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc. complimented the excellent kitchen equipment including a very large and enjoyable-to-use outdoor grill. However, some items to keep in mind when visiting. The kitchen does not come with ANY food or spice items. We have stayed in many homes, and this is the first time there were not some basics included--any oils, condiments, spices, etc. We did not even find a salt and pepper shaker. We cook a lot when traveling, so it was a bit of a scramble at first, but it was not a weekend-killer. Still, if you do a fair amount of cooking, be sure to bring everything you might need. The grounds were absolutely amazing--access to 40 acres of beautiful outdoor space, a wonderful firepit, lots of available wood, and we kept waiting to pass a Hobbit on his way to the Shire on the many moss-covered trails. Our dogs truly enjoyed the outdoor space as well and being outside on the property was a real highlight. The only draw-back for us was that this was the second home that was equipped with a "Smart Thermostat" which meant that we were somewhat at the mercy of the pre-set cooling programming, and the temperature would not set below 70 degrees. We are a bit more "heat sensitive" than most, we have learned, so for the vast majority of visitors, this would never be an issue. However, if you are like us in that you generally are comfortable at 65 and lower, it might be a challenge for you. The nights were cooler, but the house did not quite reach our usual temperature. But again, that is likely more a reflection on us than the home, and in the cooler months, this would definitely qualify as a top-of-the-list option. The landlord, Jim, could not have been nicer, and you can tell that he is very proud of the space he has created. A lot of time and care went into the landscaping, and it just added to the experience. He was also very accommodating when we asked for a later checkout. Definitely worth your consideration.
