Very friendly accommodating staff. Lovely room and food

Loved absolutely everything, all the staff were fantastic, came 8th to the 12th for my birthday week, we stayed in room 4. So cosey and warm. Didn't want to check out this morning. My partner also surprised me by proposing to me at the hotel. Was perfect. The food was out of this world.

Lovely pub in a fantastic location. Staff were so helpful and friendly.

The room was so hot, the staff had put a fan in the room, but unfortunately it was still really, really hot. However saying that we would still stay again as it was such a lovely place.

Everything was first class.staff very friendly.

We had big rubbish bins approx 6 just under our window so had to keep window closed because of smell.had to squeeze past the to get to door of room which was not very nice.

A very enjoyable experience. I was there to swim Lake Ullswater for a big event, so timings were important and the hosts were flexible and adaptable to my needs. A twin room, which suited our needs, was spacious and comfy. Staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, food was fabulous and hospitality wonderful. Super breakfast which is included in the room price. Location was perfect for my event needs, but as a general lakes visitor, would recommend. Thank you.

Nothing at all. Just some small recommendations. As we had a disabled person room, which was absolutely fine. Spacious and comfy. Big glass window looking out onto the street on the ground floor had a big inside curtain to cover the window and the door for privacy. Would suggest a blind for the glass so privacy could be maintained and keep the room light. Curtain was great at night as it was a black out curtain. Weather was terrible so an entrance mat to wipe your feet/wheels of your chair before coming into the room otherwise you bring the outside in with you. Just some ideas to make it even better.

loved the food, but could have more on the menu and the drinks were a little pricey.

Ideal location, small double was super small room 9, breakfast is super great choice, 1st morning staff seemed to be at sixes and sevens following morning a lot better. Noise in other rooms travel, evening food menu good but quite pricey but saying that alm the other places are too.

Rooms noisey , no parking, even though we were resident not able to charge meals and extras back to room

The room was amazing with a beautiful view. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They were completely honest about a situation in the hotel which could have been problematic but was fine as they offered solutions. The food was amazing and we hope next time we go we can make the most of the rest of the menu!

Right in the middle of pooley bridge, lovely room in a converted barn. Most of the time staff were very attentive

Staffing in the restaurant was poor. We waited for hours to be served and eventually gave up on desserts. However, we were compensated by having the cost of the bottle of wine removed from our bill.

Beautiful place with a great location. The staff were friendly and kind. We wish we would have arrived earlier in the day to enjoy more sights. Very dog friendly town.

The trash bins were picked up loudly at 5:30 AM.

Very low key and helpfully staff. Modern chic with a countryside decor flair. Clean tidy and situated at a sensational picturesque landscape. Wow

Breakfast was good, location was outstanding especially around lakes will come again this time with all the family.

Nothing wrong with service outside the 2 days we stayed but if the bar was open would be better for me. Overall brilliant place.
