We loved staying at Whispering Ferns and thank you Jeremy for being a responsive and excellent host!

Owner kept us informed and gave us clear instruction on codes for entry. House was comfortable for 5 adults an 1 dog. We did have 2 18year olds with us that was complaining about only 1 TV in the house. It would have been nice to have a T.V up in the loft just to keep them entertained. Nice reading nook that also included board games. Property close to town but still very private. Overall, would stay again if in the area.

We had a wonderful time staying at Whispering Ferns. The location felt so remote and quiet but was really close to the town and beaches. There was plenty of space for our family of 6. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed to cook our meals. We enjoyed the games and puzzles they had to offer. The host was very responsive and very helpful!

I would challenge anyone to find a better house rental in Fort Bragg. Close to the beach, and downtown, yet completely secluded in a forest. Very clean and big space, kitchen was great. Bathrooms were amazing, beds comfortable. Deck and hot tub were wonderful. Couldn’t have been better.

This was a beautiful and well-appointed home. The hosts have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable from comfy beds and extra large and soft towels, kids' books and toys to dog bowls and beach chairs. Our grandchildren, ages 4 and 6, loved taking the trails through the woods looking for fairies and leprechauns tiring adults with repeated trips. Roasted marshmallows in the evening after day trips to the nearby beach. We were able to relive memories of taking our kids to Fort Bragg and Pudding Creek and are now sharing new memories with the next generation. Truly a special and idyllic visit for our family. The only thing missing was actually spotting one of those elusive fairies or leprechauns.

Our stay at “Whispering Ferns” was very nice! Upon arrival, we found the outdoor setting to be serene and beautiful amongst the lush green trees and foliage. The inside of the house was clean and with a nice touch of fresh flowers in the kitchen! The house was equipped with everything you would need to make an enjoyable stay, especially the kitchen! The beds were nice and comfortable. “Whispering Ferns” is close to the ocean and within minutes of downtown, which has plenty of cute little restaurants. The owner is easy to communicate with and will provide you with all the paperwork you will need to know about the surrounding area, recommendations, and house rules. He responds in a timely manner which makes the scheduling and arrival of your visit easy. We had a wonderful time and may plan another visit in the future.

We loved our stay here at the Whispering Ferns. It was very peaceful and we got to use the kitchen and living room more than the other rooms. Everything was provided for us and they never missed a single detail. The back yard and walk to the gazebo made me feel like we had a whole forest to ourselves, it was lovely listening to the trees sway and the birds sing. Thank you for sharing your lovely home. Next time we will want family there to share this lovely place with. Thank you!

We always go to fort bragg. This was my first time doing VRBO. Had a great experience from start to finish. Convenient location. Spacious inside and out. We arrived at ease, stunning property! We received perfect directions on how to get in and we were off to explore! Owner is quick to respond. Everything was clean. Plenty of dishes/cookware to prep/make meals. The beds are so comfortable (my daughter is still talking about the bed)! We loved our experience. Cannot wait to make more memories in a town we love visiting. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful enchanted piece for us to enjoy.

We enjoyed a beautiful weekend with family. We watched the rain through all of the windows, played board games, and read a lot. Everything was perfect: location, house, decorations, communication, and amenities. We all agreed that we need to return annually.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The house is gorgeous, surrounded by lush trees and a fun yard for the kids to explore (plus a nearby trail with fairies, leprechauns, and a troll bridge!). Plenty of room for us to spread out and not be on each other's toes (very important for the kiddos!), a really nice kitchen and dining setup, and the kids loved the loft and reading nook. Everything was super clean and comfortable. We loved being able to hear the ocean, and getting cozy on a rainy morning. Pure magic. The owners were wonderful to communicate with as well - thank you!

Check in was easy, house and grounds were secluded yet 5 minutes from the coast. It was the perfect place to get family together.

Spent Thanksgiving in this beautiful home situated among a National Wildlife area. Secluded property and you can hear the ocean at night. Well appointed and stocked kitchen. Had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again.

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property feels so private yet so close to town. We stayed in and cooked dinner every night and the kitchen was stocked perfectly and thoughtfully. We felt so relaxed! Can’t wait to come back again!

Loved everything about the house. The space, solitude, amenities, and beauty of the home and surroundings were perfect. In fact, each morning we had a deer who would come to the backyard. Would definitely come back!

I can't say enough good things about this rental. From booking online to our actual stay we had spectacular communication from the host. The place itself was gorgeous - it was such a relaxing trip and the amenities made everything so comfortable. I don't usually visit a place more than once, but I am already looking forward to having another opportunity to stay here.

This was a really cute propery that was secluded but so close to everything. We didn't attempt to use the hot tub but they have a fee for it. The home was clean and had my favorite flower and color on the table when we arrived. ( cool coincidence) I use to clean for a few years so I have an eye to cleaniness and details. I was impressed overall and we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

We had an amazing time in Fort Bragg. The property is exactly as pictured – perhaps better! Our kids spent most of the afternoon exploring the backyard, spotting deer and banana slugs and rabbits. The fire pit was a wonderful addition to our evening. We can’t wait to come back and relax in nature and all the comforts of home. The house has everything you need! I was especially thankful for the extra towels for the hot tub. The kitchen is fully stocked and clean. There is a special place in my heart for the game/reading room. Lots to choose from.

The house was so clean, well stocked and beautiful. We loved having coffee on the large deck and walking down the path to the gazebo in the forest. The town of Fort Bragg is a short drive away as are multiple beaches. What a magical place!

The house and property were both very nice. The house was well kept. We loved the visits from the deer and the jackrabbits. Sitting on the back deck, enjoying a cup of coffee was so very relaxing. The owner was very quick to respond with the questions we had. We would highly recommend this place and hope to return.

We stayed the weekend and had an absolutely amazing time. Everyone kept commenting on how quite the house and area is. We enjoyed the peace and quiet!

This property is incredible. The photos don’t do it justice! The detail in both the home and the landscape of the property are amazing. We’ve never stayed at a rental that had this type of beauty surrounding us on all sides. The wildlife, the blooming flowers, the privacy, and the amenities provided within the home, as well as the hot tub… this is probably the best home I’ve stayed at since we began staying in short-term rentals. Last but not least, the owner, Jeremy, made our stay as easy as it could have been. He was easily the best host I’ve communicated with in every aspect of the rental process. He replied immediately to every question I had, provided me with alternative options and solutions when I had a scheduling conflict, and was a pleasure to speak with over the phone. A lot of love was put into this home and the property surrounding it and it shows. We HIGHLY recommend this home if you are looking to stay in the Fort Bragg/Mendocino area and want a relaxing, cozy, private place with some great custom touches to the inside and out of the home.
