If you are looking for a clean, secluded and relaxing place to stay then look no further. This place has everything you need for a wonderful quiet, enjoying wildlife and swimming. The main house is very close to the guesthouse, but there was no traffic and we never saw anyone there, but once, so private but… As far as we could tell It was😊 and if you’re wondering if it’s nice and cool, it is very very comfortable. The beds are very comfortable and everything was spotless.

We had a very great stay! We spent 4 days in Wimberley and this spot was perfect. It had beautiful views (we got to see deer, other wildlife) and the pool and hot tub were a great touch. The home itself was a very clean and had everything we needed for our 4 day stay (utensils, towels, coffee machine) It was also a perfect drive for everything we wanted to do nearby. We would definitely recommend this home for a Wimberly trip! Marylyn was a responsive host for everything we needed and questions we had before our drive up.

What a wonderful little place quiet but very close to town. We were able to attend a family reunion in town and have our own space. We loved Buttercup and can’t wait to return.

Exceeded expectations. We loved the location at top of hill and the walks around the place past the lemon tree to the treehouse. The guest house had all we needed and easy to slide into and relax. Hot tub was well used by the adults as was the pool although water a tad cold but ok once in! Finally the views over the hill country real pleasing on the eyes.

We had a wonderful time staying at the guesthouse! There was plenty of space upstairs and downstairs. We felt very comfortable during our entire stay. The property is so gorgeous. We especially loved how close it was to downtown Wimberley.

What a perfect place for two couples. The upstairs / downstairs provides togetherness, but privacy also. The pool was clean, refreshing, and crystal clear. The kitchen was well stocked and we loved having a refrigerator upstairs too. The full size coffee maker was appreciated in the mornings. The location is quiet and remote, yet just a few minutes to town. Super comfortable bed. We loved our stay and can’t wait to go back.

My second time staying here it’s amazing helps you forget about everything and just relax. The pool was great as the jacuzzi. The beds were clean and very cozy really easy to fall asleep in. We had everything we needed from plates, silverware, iron, extra blankets and plenty of space to sleep in. I recommend this place to everyone that would love to spend a nice relaxing time with family or spouse. Thank you for allowing us to stay

We had a great time. Views where breathtaking. Loved the privacy around. It was perfect. The location was well equipped with all amenities needed, it was like our home away from home. Enjoyed it. Will definitely come back.

This was the perfect spot to get away from our busy work life in Houston. The cottage was just what we were looking for; private with a hot tub, cozy & close to town. Marilyn & Darwin were great hosts; cottage had everything you would want for a weekend. Loved all the extra towels, basic kitchen items (except for a pizza pan but we figured that out 🤣), even had the same shampoo & conditioner I use! Absolutely loved how eco friendly the cottage/main house were from the rain catching system (main house 👍🏼) to the recycling can on cottage porch. (I have been known to bring our recycling home from weekends away. 🤣)Would love to come back when it’s warm enough to enjoy the pool!

We stayed for a girls get away. The property is very quite, beautiful hilltop view, just a short drive to dripping springs and wimberley. Hosts we're very accommodating! I would highly recommend staying here.

To all the people reading the reviews, this place was peaceful, relaxing, we enjoyed every moment. My family and I always carry extra kitchen utensils, pans shampoo, but this house has almost everything you could need. The pool was just amazing, my family had such a great time. Will be recommending and hope to come next year.

Wonderful property!
We enjoyed our stay at the Buttercup Guest House very much! It was so easy to relax with our own pool and hot tub and BBQ area! We were so comfortable that we only went into the town of Wimberly one time, preferring to spend more time at the property enjoying quality family time!

Cute property, very close to Wimberley
The house is very cute. Everything you need was provided other than your food. Pool was very clean, hot tub worked great. Upper living area is separate so if you have little kids might not be the best unless someone slept upstairs with them. The downstairs is one bedroom. Bed was big and comfortable though! Owners house is closer than we thought it would be, but we still had our privacy. We had a great time. Super close to Wimberley, maybe a 5 minute drive and most of that is just getting out of the neighborhood.

Second time staying here and we just love this location! Kids love the playground and exploring the area. Didn’t get to swim bc it was too cold, but the owner did say she got a heater for the pool so maybe next time!

Hot tub was the best
Great geta away that offered lots of fun. The guest house worked great for us. I would say I was expecting it to be more private from the main house being it's on 5acres but it is not, they are steps away from each other. Otherwise, everything was as described, central location between Fredericksburg and Austin.
