We self-catered. The location was excellent for our needs.

Having to call twice to say the hot water was not on. The central heating did not work. There was no back up in the form of logs and kindling for the fire or an electric heater., consequently the house was cold.

The property was spacious and the decor was on point. The owners clearly have taste. Money has been spent well.

O ly one small gripe, no bathmat when stepping out of the shower

Great location with private parking very close to the sea front but a road back so not busy at all. Good facilities inc open fire which we made good us of, especially the first night when the heating didn't work. Nice sun trap courtyard at the back for G&Ts. We know Aldeburgh well already - it is a traditional seaside town with lovely old buildings and no commercialism. Some lovely walks - we walked 8 miles up the coast to Eastbridge which has a great pub.

Could sometimes hear the people in the flat above. The heating issue was a shame as it was a cold night and the property book did not have the right instructions, so I went online in the morning and realised the batteries in the heating controller had gone flat. I changed them and everything was fine after that. The owners were very apologetic and offered to get someone out asap, but were pleased I had fixed it.

Great location. Wonderfully comfortable and cozy. Perfect for a family of four. Charming character and well furnished.

Shower screen leaked.

Very near to the beach!! :) Beds very comfortable! Plus clean.

Upstairs was very noisy all night and up early in the morning banging around? :( Plus unfortunately there were fire works going off late at night?
