The staff were very welcoming and gave me all information I needed. Free access to hot drinks and milk was a bonus, kitchen was clean. Located up a hill off the main road in quiet area, a walk to the main town took 5 minutes.

The bathroom I used could do with replacing broken fixtures.

As a first time user of a hostel I was very impressed with the comfortable bed, shower, kitchen, and lounge room. I was particularly impressed with the very friendly and helpful member of staff and the drying room. My hiking stuff, clothes and boots were soaked right through and it all dried very quickly. They also had free coffee and tea which is what I needed to warm up.

The only bad thing was that the heating wasn't on and it was pretty chilly. However, this was due to shortage of gas at the time of the year so it shouldn't normally be a problem. The member of staff gave a convector heater for the room and the room was roasting through the night.

Super nettes Personal, konnte spontan noch mein Bett von oben nach unten ändern. Betten waren bequem. Große Küche, gut ausgestattet, Tee und Kakao, Milch zu freien Verfügung. Trockenraum für nasse Sachen war perfekt.

The location was good

The beds were not very comfortable and the twin room was very small. It was a windy night and the noise from that wind rattling our bedroom window kept us awake throughout the night.

There are not a lot of bathrooms or toilets, it in morning it can be full. But I would still recommend it, the stuff helped me choose activities around, and where nice, there is a warm and nice leaving room

The bed was actually pretty comfy! This is completely situational, but all the guests in the female dorm were quiet and respectful.

The bathrooms were meh. Only 2 bathrooms with very little counter space.

Slightly tired facilities but for the money it’s well worth it.

The hostel is located centrally in Fort William, 10 minutes walk from the train station/bus stop/supermarkets/ MacDonalds. There are excellent views from the hostel as it is on a hill above the town. The staff, led by Aidan, are very friendly and helpful. If you have a query, ask. The 6 bunk room (#4) was adjacent to the shower/toilet facilities.The bunks are named after Scottish celebrities. My bunk, named “Billy Connelly”, a Scottish comedian, had a personal connection as we went to the same school in Glasgow! The lounge is very attractively decorated with highland artefacts and some musical instruments. If you want to play the Yukelele, you can have a go here! I enjoyed speaking to the other visitors. There were people from Europe, Australia, India, Canada and Brazil. Thankfully, they understood my Glasgow accent.

There was no jam or marmalade for my breakfast toast! The marmalade jar was empty. I was sad… I had to put chocolate on my toast!
