Simply a beautiful and historic feeling inn. We liked the common spaces and all the little touches like a coffee bar, complimentary snacks, and local recommendations. We loved the area. We enjoyed the breakfast. We will definitely come back!

I’m picky on beds.

The Inn is old and well maintained. The room are well appointed in period correct furniture. The breakfasts were delicious. The best part is the entire staff. Everyone is very friendly, and they made the entire stay enjoyable. Thanks to all for a great long weekend stay!

Nothing! We were very pleased.

Charming house, great hot water for showers and baths, loved the jacuzzi. The owners were pleasant and took time to get to know everyone staying the weekend. Several options for wifi.

The breakfasts were not great, the pillows were flat, there were dangerous branches hanging from trees on the grounds known as widow-makers, there were many cracks in the walls and ceilings (plaster) as well as some of the windows, the wallpaper was peeling in areas, and the top restaurant recommended on the website was terrible which they admitted they knew about when we brought it up. The town really didn't have a lot to offer, would recommend going up the road to Salisbury.

The house itself was cozy and our room was adorable. We stayed in the Country French room and were very comfortable. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean and well-maintained. The staff was really great about following COVID protocols and we felt safe on our weekend away.

The first night it got really hot in the room. In the morning, we realized we were able to lower the heat and the temperature improved. The heat was a bit loud (the house uses the original steam radiators), but we were cozy. There was also a problem with the electricity in the bathroom. After running the warm water to use the tub, we heard a loud pop come from one of the lights. Not a big deal, and definitely something that comes with staying in an old house.

Beautiful large manor house on gorgeous grounds. So quiet and peaceful. Very friendly owners, full of great tips for places to go and things to do. Comfy bed in uniquely decorated rooms- we had the Lincoln bedroom with a wood burning fireplace, large windows overlooking the grounds, wonderful shower in the private bathroom. No TV, but we did not miss it. Many different common rooms and outdoor seating for privacy. Best blueberry pancakes I ever had!

My only complaint was the pillows were hard and flat, not soft and fluffy.
