check in process, heat in breakfast room it was like a sauna there

We done so check in but it failed , the payments were taken 5 times. We used 3 different cards & are still awaiting the return of our 4 payments that were taken in error!!! It has been 5 days we are travelling & now have limited funds in our bank !!!

The hotel concept is intrigueing as there is virtually no staff. You check-in on a computer in the lobby by providing guests details and the machine provides you with the key of your room, basic information and receipt for your stay. The rooms are located on the upper floors of a building shared with offices and other facilities. The room was big, new, clean and cozy with a view on the railway station square, but no noises at all to disturb our rest. While making the reservation we didn't notice that, but we had two separate beds instead of a queen/king sized, but for one night it wasn't a big deal, just double check while booking. There is also a common area where drinks are available 24/7. Breakfast in the morning is self-service based in the common area and provides anything you may want from croissants to bread with jam, coffee machine, milk, yoghurt, ham and cheese, juices... good quality overall and nice way to start up the day. Check-out requires only to drop the key in the boxes provided on the exit route. The city of Landquart is small and newly built, the hotel is right on top of the train station and at the edge of the main street where you can find most of the restaurants of the city, so location was top to leave your stuff, go for a walk and grab something to eat before the night's rest. The shopping outlet is right across the station so you have to cross the railroad to get there.

When we reached the hotel we could not immediately find the parking indicated, so we left our motorbikes on the street, brought our stuff to the room and went back to look for the Outlet parking where theoretically you can park for free if you're a hotel guest, you only need to validate the ticket at the hotel. The problem was that the Outlet parking is on the other side of the railway, so if you have to drive there it takes about 1 km and the route is not really straightforward. Once we reached the parking right across the railway station, signs recommended motorbikes to be parked on the other side of the Outlet so we gave up and we went back to the front of the hotel where you can park for free from 17 to 8 and then you can pay 2 CHF for 1h30 (max stay). At the hotel entrance, the door is locked so it is required to either have the key or insert the credit card. It took us (and another couple) a while to figure out that the credit cards we used for the reservation were not working so it is better to ring the bell and ask for assistance. The check-in process is handled through a computer, but we struggled to insert our data as it looked like there were a few bugs on the software, it didn't go smoothly as we expected and definitely took us longer than a check-in with staff... might work better next time that we're more experienced!

The automated check-in was great and the facility and room was very neat and clean. The wifi and breakfast were great and the 24-hour access to beverages and fruit was a great added benefit.
