The staff were wonderful, the evening meal and breakfasts were delicious and it was perfectly situated

The room (4rth and last floor) was big and with a nice balcony with the view on the mountains. Good breakfast, not a lot of choice but very good quality!

The shower was old and small.

It's a nice, small, old fashioned, extremely clean, pet friendly hotel. The view from the terrace is breathtaking!

The hotel and staff are amazing. Breakfast buffet is fresh with a nice assortment of yogurt, fresh bread, proteins and fruit. Also, the coffee is delicious.

It stays on the main road,so you can very well hear the cars. Breakfast is very poor. Continental, no vegetables

Everything was well-prepared. The room was clean and spacious. Staffs were nice and friendly. Food in the restaurant is recommended! The hotel is not far from the train and cable car station.

Location was great with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. The rooms were old , but clean and well kept.

The breakfast was limited. My wife wanted to sit in vacant area by the window but they insisted on us to stay in “our designated table”. staff were helpful but somewhat cold in how they communicated… I reserved two rooms but they only offered one room with a balcony and a view. when you come from a far away place the least that one can expect is full access to the beautiful views.

Location: ideal as starting point for winter hikes. Oeschinensee cable car close by; free bus to Sunnbuel cable car. Shops close by. Station close by. Breakfast: very good, plenty of choice. Fresh fruit, fresh bread, eggs, cheese, cut meats, yoghurts, jams, honey, etc. Half-board was very reasonable: Dinner very good with friendly, helpful service. Room: large with a South-facing balcony (view towards the mountains). Sitting area with sofa and armchair. Small but adequate bathroom with excellent shower.

Hotel reception efficient and completely adequate. However, we felt that it lacked warmth and interest in guests. There were no friendly questions as to how we had spent our day, or what we had enjoyed. Kandersteg is such a beautiful area - we would have loved to share our enthusiasm more.

miss some little things like a kettle and coffee machine in the room, some little attentions would be nice also like candies or new bottle of water everyday. a pity that there is no spa (only a sauna) the menu à la carte is below expectations
