Our family had a great time. The new pier/dock is large and very nice with numerous rod holders. The location is nice and out of the way, but close to Beaufort and Morehead City. We would definitely recommend this property.

The home was beautiful and well appointed. My family was so comfortable during our stay. The views from the deck and pier were magnificent between the gorgeous sunsets and the frequent dolphin sightings. There was plenty to do even for a family that doesn't fish. Harkers Island is away from the hustle and bustle (which we prefer), but plenty of tourist attractions are available in nearby towns.

We have stayed at this house before and we truly love it. The new pier and fish cleaning station was awesome. Owners are super helpful as well.

Pros: Views were amazing! Great location Cons: Definitely not the most comfortable furniture! Couches were terrible! Pillows on beds awful. No where to rinse sand off before entering (side spigot didn’t work and no hose) When paying for cleaning services you should not have to drive to the dump to dispose of trash. Lastly, no book to explain how to run the TV etc or any type of emergency numbers.

This home met all of our needs for a coastal getaway convenient to several sites without being in the middle of an overly built up area. Check in was simple. The house had everything we needed. We made trips into Beaufort, Moorehead City, Emerald Isle to Fort Macon, and on Harkers Island enjoyed walking trails at the NPS Cape Lookout visitor center, exhibits at the Waterfowl Museum, a ferry ride out to Cape Lookout Lighthouse and Shackleford to see the wild horses. We spent an afternoon just haging out on the home's deck enjoying the sunshine, ocean, and seabirds. It was a great stay.

The only thing you will need or want is more time. Clean, great views, relaxing.

It was so lovely to be able to see the view from pretty much anywhere in the house and to see all of the seabirds. Very peaceful especially out on the dock in the morning. Home is clean, well stocked and has plenty of room. Easy ferry to Shackleford Banks and Cape Lookout. A+

Our trip to Harkers Island was just what we were looking for after the hustle and bustle of Washington DC. We were able to rest and take in the beautiful sights that this small island has to offer. The house was true to the pictures. Each room was beautifully decorated. The home was easy to get into and out of. The neighbors were perfectly distanced for a private time at the island. We enjoyed going to Beaufort and Jacksonville for day trips. Fishing each day off the pier was awesome. We enjoyed seeing the dolphins swim past throughout the day. Our favorite part were the gorgeous sunsets at night. We always were back as each night provided a different scenery. The owners were attentive and helpful. This is a hidden gem!

The view from this home is breathtaking. We loved sipping coffee watching the sun come up or having a glass of wine with the sunset. At all times the sparkle off the water is relaxing. Very nice beds, decor, and well stocked kitchen. We’re already looking forward to coming back. If I had one suggestion it would be to look at adding an umbrella, awning, sunshade to the porch. The afternoon sun is HOT, 5 stars all the way

The house is situated in a quite location of the sound with beautiful view, especially the sunset. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is fully stocked. Highly recommended

Great family getaway! Perfect, comfortable, great views on the water.

The house is tucked away toward the end of an unpaved road, with several other houses nearby - it looks like a mix of vacation homes and permanent residents. The exterior isn't impressive at first glance, but the interior is very nice -- spacious, clean and well decorated. The deck overlooks a beautiful stretch of sound (not the ocean) and provides stunning views of sunsets. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals. We wanted time at the ocean, too, and that required a 30-minute drive to Atlantic Beach/Forth Macon, but otherwise this was a perfect spot for a getaway -- we hope to return.

We loved loved loved staying at this house. The waterfront views are absolutely breathtaking and so relaxing morning, noon, and night. This property is quiet and clean, close to local attractions but remote enough to feel more secluded and enjoy the beauty and peace that this location has to offer. We highly recommend this home for anyone wanting to visit the coast but not necessarily a typical sand and sun beach experience.

Myself, my wife and 15 year old son got away to Harker's Island for a relaxing and quiet stay. The house is wonderful well appointed and we spent alot of time on the back deck watching the sunset and saw a porpoise on one evening. We had made thise reservation for this house last year right before COVID hit hard. Christi the home owner what nothing but helpful and graceful in her assisting with handling this and once we decided to rebook this spring she made some shifts to her own plans to accommodate us. It was very much appreciated as we had a wonderful get away and the last thing on our mind was any concern about the accommodations. The house itself feels like a home- it is quiet, the screened in porch on the front really nice but nothing compares to the wonderful back deck overlooking the water which is literally only a few feet away. It was a wonderful time to reconnected with my wife and son. Thanks Christi! We hope to visit again sometime. Gabriel C

This home was a perfect weekend escape. Tucked away, with perfect views. The home had everything we needed. Well decorated. Even with a weekend full of rain we enjoyed the peace and quiet. Highly recommend this property.

We came for a wedding over the Thanksgiving weekend. This place was perfect. We sat on the couch and watched the porpoises everyday of our stay. We fIshed, shopped, and explored the island and loved it.

All the guys loved the trip and we will definitely be coming back!! Very beautiful place!!

If you're looking for an off the beaten path gettaway with spectacular water views, this is it. Harkers island is small and you won't find a whole lot of options outside of boating, fishing or beach, but that's what we came here for and we were not dissapointed! The home has charming nautical decor and was very clean. Communication was prompt and very helpful before and during our stay. Our family enjoyed our stay so much we're already planning our next visit! Thank you!

My family and I spent a wonderful week at this property. The home was absolutely gorgeous and extremely clean. We were in all of how wonderful this home and its location was. My family and I spent most of our days out on the boat, we took trips out to Cape Lookout and over to Shackleford Banks. Christi and Allen are great host and are very willing to help with any questions. Christi was able to put us in contact with a place that we were able to keep our boat at the dock during our stay. (There was a small fee for keeping our boat at the dock, but so worth it! ) The porch at this home is an amazing place to watch the sunsets and the dolphins swim by. My husband and I fell in love with Harkers Island and can not wait to go back.

My family and I had a great relaxing stay. The ocean view from the back porch was awesome.

The waterfront location was relaxing. Easy check in and checkout. Safe location for family. The house had basic cleaning but not thorough. Used Coffee in coffee maker, qtips left in bathroom From previous renter, the one bathroom shower was not scrubbed. Layers of soap scum and hair. The washcloth I used turned brown after cleaning. Limited wash clothes for a family. No hand soap in bathroom. Limited household supplies compared to other rental homes. I had to do my own cleaning before I felt comfortable. You have to take the trash with you when you leave to a local dump, but the dump didnt open till 1pm and checkout was at 10am. Very inconvenient and limited space to travel with luggage and to add the trash for the trip home.

Amazing views of the sunsets! This house has it all. Huge Kitchen with all you need to cook. Bedrooms with the sound views and the most comfortable beds. I will be going back!
