The hotel was clean and comfortable

The workmen upstairs that had been there for weeks,they slammed doors which shook our room, from 6pm till 11pm, absolutely horrible.

Despite us booking the Dolphin rooms, we ended up stopping in their sister hotel the Dovedale Hotel. The location was ideal and most of the staff were pleasant. My moto is: you only pay for what you get, so we initially though a decent deal for £85.00 Inc breakfast upon arrival.

The following morning we went to the dinning room where it was already 50% full, only one member of staff frantically trying to take customers breakfast orders. The poor lady was out of her depth . As customers, we all kept looking at each other's table asking ourselves how much longer before its our turn to get served? After 30 minutes and probably still no.3 in the queue, we walked out. I made a comment to the gentleman on reception, which he apologized and defended by confirming that Friday was their busiest times for breakfast! They obviously know how busy they are during these times and if it was a staffing issue, this should have been communicated to all their customers rather than leaving them on a table parched. Thankfully, Weatherspoons is only around the corner!

Excellent customer service. Beautiful bedroom and close location to the centre of cleethorpes. Fabulous breakfast and the decor of the hotel was amazing!

The pillows weren't very comfortable and the mattress was a bit firm for me.

I liked that we was in the converted 'out house/utility room. It was private. The room was plenty big enough & we'll equipped.

The Dolphin rooms was difficult to find & once found its frustrating because with a little extra info, it would have saved us 25 mins messing about in the street. The Dolphin rooms are part of the larger hotel the Dovedale & reception/check in is over there. We also didn't like that all the volume is automatically turned off the TV at 11pm again frustrating when your relaxing in your room, watching a film then you can't hear it no longer. Again, a little more info at the start of the booking would have avoided this. Also, you can't get hold of anybody once the hotel closes. They give you a key that fits every door but the deadlock didn't work inside our room which left me feeling a little vulnerable.

Very nosey can hear other rooms talking on the plus side bed was soft and pillows was nice breakfast wasn't up to.much ether stayed 3 nights had breakfast once . Widnt stay again

I thought the price (£85) included breakfast. The booking didn't mention that I had to check in at the sister hotel. I was confused when I arrived as to how to access the hotel.
