Was greeted with friendly staff to check in. Fully explained everything, including early check out procedure. Large room, nice bathroom. Powerful shower, plenty of hot water. No problems at all. Would stay again and definitely recommend.

it’s very clean and the staff leave you to your own devices.

But… it’s not cheap, and it could do with a phone in the room to call down to reception if there is something missing or wrong.

We chose this hotel for it's proximity to Heaton park for lighttopia which it was perfect for. We booked a family room which was advertised as a large double and a sofa bed. I assumed we'd make the sofa bed up but it was made for our arrival. The bed was much bigger than a double and large enough that when our 3year old wanted to come into our bed in the middle of the night there was comfortably enough room for him. Room was really spacious nicely decorated and good value. Staff were helpful. I was worried it would be noisy because of the pub but we honestly didn't hear a thing and the accomodation is well secured from the pub area. We would definitely stay here again. I've previously paid much more for much worse accomodation in Manchester!!

The architecture, sense of history and location and the wonderful pub downstairs.

The packets of coffee were not the best.My wife liked the tea however.

Mattress had no protective cover, bedding was not a good quality, toilet seat broke, plug wouldn't come out of sink when inserted, very unhappy should really be refunded, asked to move room but no more were available.

Room was clean & comfortable

There was a persistent noise that made it very difficult to sleep even with earplugs & as I was out early & back late never any staff around to alert.

They closed the hotel before 11pm and didn’t give me instructions on how to get in.

The room was lovely, everything you needed, a d so ifs, a TV, bathroom with a bath to relax in, tea, coffee and biscuits, we were really pleased with the room.

There was a noise all night, intermittently, there was an air con unit on the outside wall of our room that kicked into action action at regular intervals, every time you were just dropping off to sleep, it would start up, very noisy, ruined what would have been a really good nights sleep as the bed was so comfortable, such a shame. We were in room 3.
