Absolutely loved Starfish Bungalow! It's directly between the two main piers on the south of the Island so perfectly placed if you want a quiet beach or a more lively spot. The bungalows are in the jungle but less than 5minutes walk to the nearest beach. The lady who runs it does excellent food at a reasonable price, and her neighbour does laundry for $1 per kg - much cheaper than anywhere else on the island we found. There are monkeys in the jungle plus a few critters which adds to the jungle experience. There was hot water too which was great. We're a young-ish couple travelling and it's the nearest accommodation to the Nest - so ideal if you want a bit of a party too.

WiFi didn't reach our bungalow at the furthest point of the jungle but this wasn't something that would stop us coming back.

The lady who runs starfish , was lovely an absolute star ! Couldn't do enough for me . The location is central meaning 50 meters right is a long stretch of beach ( bars restaurants) left is a laundry lady and the Nest backpackers plus f 100 metres further on is longset beach ( pristine) but be warned 1 you'll need a torch at night , 2 on the way to longset there's a inlet to a inner lagoon , no bridge so you'll have to wade across ( high tide above your knees ) Or at starfish there's a pier bring a chair and a bottle of wine and watch the sunset . Or sunrise ( with the bottle of course) Enjoy

Spacious Bungalow half way between the lively beach of Koh Touch and the beautiful 4k beach. Our Bungalow was towards the front and had a bit of an ocean view. Staff was friendly and rooms were cleaned daily.

The hosts were very warm and helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean, and was cleaned each day which was great. Powerful fan which was great as no AC in the room. Cold drinks and food available from reception. Great location as beaches accessible in both directions just minutes walk away. Mosquito nets provided over beds in room.

Plenty of critters around which easily make their way into the rooms due to the 'hut' style build.

We really enjoyed our stay. The Bungalows are in the jungle and it could happen that the monkeys on the roof top wake you up. I would always do it again for this experience. The staff is super super nice and try to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

The bathroom could be a little bit more comfortable.

The location was great, walking distance from the parties in town and the beautiful 4K beach. In beautiful nature, we saw monkeys and geckos and I appreciated that during checkin the owner told us not to feed or touch the monkeys and allow them to stay wild. The area around the bungalows is kept nice and clean. For the money we payed, 40 EUR/nigh, it was a good value for money compared to the other options on the island. The place is clean-ish, the bed was comfortable and was made every day. We had two fans and a clean mosquito net. For some reason, we did not have that many mosquitos inside even if the bungalow is semi-open and inside a forest.

There was no wifi or 3G signal in the room, maybe they could do something to get more WIFI coverage. The bathroom could have been much cleaner, a WC brush would help. The water has a very very strong rust smell, after a shower, you don't feel really clean but I guess there is not much they can do. No hot water. The fan was not really above the bed, this means that during the hot nights, it doesn't really keep you cool. The mobile fan needs a good cleaning, it had old solidified dust on it that you don't want blown into the air you breathe.

Everything was perfect. Helpfull staff and I think this place has the best location. It is realy calm and quiet but close to Long Set Beach and close to TreeHouse Restaurant (with tasty foods and friendly staff) and Koh Touch . If you want to take a rest, the best one. Recommended.
