family vacation with 18 people ages 4-70. The home is very convenient to the beach and shopping/restaurants. Close to Currituck lighthouse and the 4WD beach/wild ponies. We enjoyed our stay immensely. My only issue was it was not very well maintained. The decks, pool area and carport needed a good powerwash. The pool equipment was moldy and the carpet was pretty worn and stained. There were multiple complaints that the beds were very uncomfortable and bedding needed washing and/or replaced. Kitchen could use some sharp knives and decent pans. I will search more diligently next time and read the reviews closely.

Arrived, property was very clean. They had everything in the kitchen you would need, ever. We loved the pool and hot tub, very relaxing. We went with 3 of our children and spouses, and 9 grandchildren. We had plenty of room for us to stay together for activities and plenty of space for everyone to have their own space. Loved it.

Overall great location and fit 3 families (12) comfortably at a great price. Super short walk to the beach and the pool was a good size with a gorgeous big tree for shade. Has all the things you want like a gas grill, hot tub, outdoor showers, and even an extra fridge. Bathrooms were in good shape and clean. Having multiple common areas was great for the kids to have their own space. Every room has a TV. Less than a mile from Harris Teeter and Food Lion. What is lacking…it’s pretty dated. Kitchen could use an upgrade, new stove, pots and pans, and kitchen gadgets. The dishwasher makes loud piercing noises. The main level couch is not comfortable, too stiff. All the rooms need new bedding. Carpets need a good cleaning. Overall would recommend for our size and price point.

This rental property exceeded our expectations and was the perfect place for our family group of 15 people to celebrate a 50th anniversary together! The house itself more than met our needs. Bedrooms all had great TVs and private balconies. Our littles (ages 5 - 12) all slept on the 1st level with the pool table / game room, adult parents on the 2nd level, and grandparents lucked out with the beautiful master suite on the upper level. The beach was an easy walk, with powder sand. So fun at night with the crab catching!! Kitchen was fully equipped, and we ended up eating in every night because it was so convenient. The only small snag was the carpeting was well worn and beyond being able to be cleaned sufficiently. Carpeting in a beach house is very difficult to maintain and really takes a beating. We would especially recommend this specific house as a rental because of its ideal location next to an empty lot, with a lake just steps away. We were able to drop our kayaks and paddle board in the lake just steps away from the house! With the crowds we experienced everywhere else in the subdivision, we were especially happy to have the extra space and pretty much private access to the lake! The entire week was one of memories being made, and The Key To Paradise definitely made that happen for us. Thank you!

The house and location worked out very well for our group. The only negative comment is that the skillets need replaced.

Had a group of 16 people and we had ample room for everyone. Beach was close and was very nice. We spent a lot of time of at the pool in the late afternoon and evenings. Plenty of TVs for the kids to watch and a few learned how to play pool

Everything was wonderful. Clean house. Responsive staff. would stay again!
