De host was vriendelijk en de locatie was zeer gunstig; rustig gelegen en toch het centrum om de hoek. We kregen een ontbijtje mee toen we vroeg op pad gingen.

We hadden een zeer bedompte kamer waar weliswaar wel een raam in zat, maar die keek uit op een blinde muur. Van daglicht was dus geen sprake. Erg zonde als je in zo’n prachtige omgeving zit. De douche was matig; slecht op temperatuur te krijgen en weinig waterdruk. Verder een krakend bed en het plastic zeil onder het laken maakte het ook onnodig onprettig.

Nuwara Eliya Hills Rest is een hotel in een klassiek Engels gebouw. Rustig gelegen, maar je kunt prima te voet naar het centrum lopen. Het ontbijt was prima en zelfs vegan opties zijn mogelijk. Aangezien het hotel in de bergen ligt, zijn er voldoende warme dekens voorhanden. En zelfs een kruik ligt in de kamer, hoewel je dit als Nederlander niet nodig zult hebben, aangezien het nooit zo koud wordt.

5min walk into town. Staff very friendly and helpful, arranged a Tuk Tuk for the morning to the train station so we didn’t have to worry about. Very comfortable bed and room had fridge, kettle etc.

The shower was very weak and the room was a little noisy as it was the room on the outer corner of the property and it was a particularly windy night

They can do with heaters in every room as it gets very cold at nights.

Excellent stay with lovely and thoughtful interior which makes you feel home. Amazing service, very helpful all the way through our stay and location also good. Few minutes walk to food court and restaurants but also to town. The host arranged transportation for us which was also good and helpful. Highly recommend, excellent value for money.

Das Zimmer war immer kalt und die Dusche meistens auch. Etwas ab vom Schuss, aber immer noch ok.

Inget vattentryck. Går knappt att få vatten i handfatet. Endast stril i duschen. Vi bodde en trappa upp. För Litet rum för att kallas svit. Inga sängbord, inga sänglampor.

离汽车站步行500米，商业街也在附近。很干净，进门要拖鞋，房间一尘不染。房间颜色搭配看起来很温馨。

热水很小，洗澡冷得发抖。早餐有些简陋。没有空调。床上没有被子，都是厚毛毯，应该没法经常换洗。

Excellent location in Nuwara Eliya to be able to access everything in town including the bus station, shops and restaurants. Nice, large rooms and bathrooms with hot water and good Wi-Fi. Lots of blankets were provided for the cold nights! Staff were able to organise a tuk tuk for us to go to Horton Plains which was very convenient. They also provided information about the local buses. One of our rooms didn’t have a kettle or tea/coffee but staff were able to make it for us on request. Staff were extremely flexible and kind as we were able to cancel our last night free of charge when our plans changed unexpectedly which was really appreciated. We were also able to leave our bags at the hotel after check out and pick them up later in the day.

La amabilidad de los chicos que trabajaban allí, ubicado a unos 10 minutos a pie del centro. Muchas mantas para no pasar frío y agua caliente en la ducha. El baño estaba súper nuevo.

El colchón se movía demasiado cuando uno de los dos se giraba.

Die Dusche war zwar warm, aber im doch recht kalten Nuwara Eliya wäre ein wenig mehr Wasserdruck gut. Gerade weil Zimmer und Bad doch recht kalt waren.

Mega lief en leuke man en vrouw met hun zoon. Helpen goed met de planning en regelen alles. Van de tassen, tot ene tuktuk, tot een banaan voor onderweg. ze laten je echt thuis voelen. Ontbijt erg lekker.

We had a really pleasant stay here. The owner is incredibly kind and helpful. He gave us advice on what to do and where to go. The breakfast was delicious! We loved our room, it was very cozy. Location is perfect for exploring the city and surroundings. Nuwara Eliya is also very beautiful!

A very warm and kind owner. Location is great, behind the Victoria park and 15 minutes walk from center and Grand hotel.

Very nice staff. Were helpful with everything. Wanted to make the best of our stay. Room was also good. Very clean and had everything you needed.

We love this very beautiful and spacious house. Our room was comfy with good bed and nice bathroom. Shower with warm water. Our host Rajendran is an absolutely amazing guy and his fresh Sri Lankan breakfast was really delicious. You can chose between continental and Sri Lankan breakfast, we never tried continental. Rajendran took really care and also helped us organizing tours with a great TukTuk driver. The house itself is walking distance to a lot of local restaurants as well as town center. We stayed for five nice and really felt home.

Big rooms, comfortable beds, no need for AC in Nuwara Eliya - instead big thick blankets helping keep you warm! The couple that run the accommodation are extremely friendly and helpful! Make you feel very at home!

The optional breakfast was pricey for what it is but it’s extremely convenient to have it on site and still delicious. A slightly higher exchange rate was used at checkout but we didn’t mind as we had had such a nice stay. Highly recommend this accommodation!

When you arrive the host greets you with "Welcome Home" and that's how you feel. Breakfast was large, delicious and changed from one day to the next, made spicy or not to your preference. The bed was very comfortable. Get the room with a view....so peaceful. Close to Victoria park and other attractions. The host was very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English and was helpful to give advice and arrange transportation. Great value for the money. 10/10 tranquility

We felt very welcomed by the owner, the place is quiet and at a walking distance from the center of Nuwara Eliya.

Comfortable homestay close to Victoria Park and close enough to the city centre. We liked that the host had provided for two blankets as it does get very cold at night. Rajendran was a personable host and had suggestions about how to plan our day. We followed his suggestion to do the Single Tree Hill hike which we enjoyed. We appreciated him providing us with tea and coffee at 4:30am before our trip to Horton Plains. While the room is small there is a common dining area and living area which you can use.

Hot water shower had low pressure. It would have been nice to have extra pillows for the bed. We stayed 3 nights and had to request for fresh towels as they just don’t dry in the cold weather. This is not a criticism but merely a suggestion for future guests.

i stayed for just one night but received a very warm welcome from the host. my room was very nice and clean, hot water in shower very appreciated as Nuwara Eliya can be pretty cold)
