We were traveling with our granddaughter for vacation and we were offered a bigger room which was more comfortable than what I originally booked.

Friendly staff provided check in details well in advance of our arrival and were flexible about arrival times. The secure parking was undercover and with plenty of space and lighting. A great location to visit the town. The open air market was 2 minutes walk from the hotel and had a great range of stalls, used extensively by locals. Plenty of restaurants with a range of cuisines are within a few minutes walk. Our room had a small kitchen, which would have been a great benefit if we were staying longer.

The secure parking was approx. a 10 min walk from the hotel. Instructions for the car park could be better i.e. entry is via the white roller shutter door. During July and August the area around the hotel is pedestrianised, which complicates the bag drop off, but is great for wandering the streets. Breakfast starts too late, especially when there is a chance to visit the market before most tourists arrive, however, there are Tabac's close by for coffee from 07:00 and pastries can be bought in the market of local shops (a few are open by 07:30)

Best place to stay in Sarlat We had apartment complete with kitchen which we did not use and and balcony overlooking the street Room was large and very comfortable and quiet at night Staff is wonder helpful and friendly with great suggestions for some day trips. We had breakfast which was excellent

Not sure if we chose the wrong apartment. It was odd microwave and cutlery but no plates or bowls and paper cups

We were a group of six staying in the family apartment, and the studio. We had such a friendly and helpful welcome, and we all loved the old building charm of the place with all the mod cons necessary - not to mention the fabulous views everywhere. It was easy to park in the free parking about a 5 minute walk away, then explore Sarlat on foot. Even though we were right in the middle of town, the rooms were lovely and quiet.

This property is absolutely adorable and is located in the old town on windy cobblestone rues.

Our two bedroom apartment overlooking the town was spacious, comfortable and well decorated. Parking was available in a secure garage a couple of blocks away. The staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurants were in easy walking distance, and on Saturday morning the great outdoor market was at our doorstep.

Firm bed. Distance between toilet and bathroom. Dim room with only a small window. Noisy group of youths outside for many hours

The breakfast was very nice, with ham, cheese, an egg cooked to order, and many selections of bread and pastries. The young man who served was quite friendly, and we had a pleasant experience.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. The location of the property is excellent. We could easily walk to every site in the medieval city, and enjoyed the Saturday market, some of which took place right on the street below us.

The lady at the front desk was very very kind and helpful with a beautiful smile. The location in the middle of the main market street (and just one street over from Old Town) and the medieval architecture surrounding the hotel are so charming-- we really enjoyed our terrace!

The decor/equipment provided was not up to modern Bnb/hotel standards I would say. Just slightly outdated-feeling. Unfortunately a group of young people decided to have a hangout with loud music on the street directly below the hotel's windows so we were kept awake until well after midnight (not the hotel's fault at all).

Faultless

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Villa des Consuls. The staff, Valentin was super helpful and friendly from day one. This included a pick up from the station upon our arrival. We were also provided excellent places to eat and visit. Our room was simply ideal as it was tucked away and quiet. We were able to make our own breakfast and cook a couple of lovely meals too. We would most certainly return. Andrew & Catherine

Superb location in the city. Our suite was spacious with an amazing terrace overlooking one of the ancient streets. The breakfast was lovely. A great place.

The bathroom towels were a bit sad, not what you would expect in such a nice hotel.

Staff v helpful. Beautiful old building tastefully restored.

Breakfast area tables could only take tables of 2 so we were a party of 4.... A mirror in the bedroom would be good...
