Remote location a bit tricky without a car

The breakfast was ok, the coffee great, the stuff very friendly. I liked the lake view, the terasse and the restaurant in general. The tube is not too far away. Hurden is nearby and worth to be visited.

There is a huge difference between the restaurant (nice) and the hotel rooms (rather simple). The restaurant including the terasse with the great lake view is excellent, local people like to go there, but the steps up to the rooms and the rooms itself are another type of thing. I had view to the lake from my room, however, my room was on the street side, a street that is highly frequented, even in the late evening hours. I had to buy ear plugs for noise cancelling to get any sleep. And: I really don't like shower curtains..

Very friendly welcoming, nice rooms, lively place, good food. Nice view on the sea and natural reserve. Quiet and clean rooms.

Small, and well-equipped room, friendly staff, very nice restaurant on-premise, ample parking directly in front of the hotel. Simple but fully adequate breakfast. Nice view from some rooms.

WiFi a bit feeble for holding an on-line meeting, train tracks are directly outside the hotel - bit loud at night.

I would like to be fair: the place itself meaning facilities is ok, stuff is friendly, all is clean, accomodation is modest but suitable for 1 night sleep if you are around in that area and need it. It's on the road, train lines are very close but it's all ok, won't bother you. It's very convenient to start many hiking trails from there. There is a restaurant on the fist floor so you can always get drinks/food.

BUT! This all doesn't matter at all because if you are there occasionally on Friday or Saturday night, beware of loud music that will be playing in this restaurant. It was just driving crazy, as it was very loud, live, repeating the same melody and lasted from 7 till 11 pm. Rooms have no isolation from that AT ALL! Even if you see many doors on your way from the restaurant to the rooms don't worry, it doesn't work, you will still here everything. Unfortunately I was very tired from the whole day of hiking so I just wanted to get there and sleep planning to leave early for my next hiking root on Sunday but I ended up not being able to sleep till mid night even though I had earplugs. I think that if you are serving rooms in addition to the restaurant, you either make sure you have a good soundproofing or you opt for a mild and calm music for your restaurant guests. Otherwise it’s just not manageable. We are in Switzerland in the end of the day, people are thrilled about rights and quietness here but it’s not applied at this place apparently. I am absolutely fine with restaurant having music on a Saturday night for the guests but I am not fine with not being able to properly rest for my own money because of this. That’s a bad management and lack of proper hospitality. Even for not a big amount of money guests of your rooms should get the very basic - sleeping, that’s not too much to ask. I am going to claim my money back. That’s just not acceptable. I have recorded a video with the sound from my room at that night.
