very rustic. no insect control so we couldn’t keep the windows open at night- full of mosquitoes

The staff was very friendly. The cottage was nice and was quiet until my second night. Location is good. fireplace was nice as it was cold. they have a pool for summer. kitchen was helpful and had what I needed. parking was ample. access to the river is wonderful. the camping area looks nice.

my second night the house at the end (owners, workers?) we’re playing their music so loud I could hear all the words from far down the street. after an hour I finally went down and asked them to turn it down. for the price I expect to not have to ask the property to follow their own quiet rules. also, Wi-Fi is only available at the office area, “not public areas.” very inconvenient if you are a foreigner and need service for work or further trip planning. there were signs for a cafeteria, but nothing was open. the bathroom had hair all over the floor.

I loved the place and quietness. The cabin was close to the river so it was great. Very cozy place and warm. The swimming pool was very nice. I really enjoyed my staying there.

I didn't like the fact that one day we didn't have hot water to have a shower in the evening.

I didn’t like that people would be constantly walking by our cabin, the bathroom shower leaked, the fridge was broken so we lost all of food and the only thing I wanted from the owner was an apology and a “how can I help fix your vacation. Instead, he tried to blame it on us and deflect responsibility.
