It's ok as a 2-3 star hotel, but super expensive for what they provide. There is a path to the beach crossing the street. You can use Selina North facilities with the same wrist band.

My biggest complain is that it's super expensive for what I paid. I paid 890 USD for 4 nights, so 222 USD per night, for a private room with private bathroom. I didn't know if North or South would be better, so just booked one. The facilities are of a 2-3 star hotel, it's not clean, room floors were filthy. Room doesn't have blackouts and bathroom doesn't have any curtains. People outside of the hotel just go there to work, there are very few common areas, the pool is small and there is nothing going on at all at any time. I was expecting to meet people and the hotel to be a bit better for what I paid. When I got there, I did ask if I could move to North, or leave the hotel, they told me I can't cancel my stay, I could just cancel my last night there. North was fully booked. For that price I didn't have breakfast included, they could have included it after I complained the hotel was very expensive for what it provides. The hotel is not in Santa Teresa either. The streets there are not paved, and there is a lot of dust flying around all the time in the streets, not in the hotel. There are a lot of ATV, SUV and super big trucks all the time on the streets too, they are the ones creating the dust. Selina North is in Santa Teresa and the streets are paved, so no dust. At night there is nothing going on anywhere around the hotel, it's not the same in Selina North. I decided to go to North to spend the day, full of people in the pool and common areas, so it's easier to meet people. I would have rather stayed in any hotel around Santa Teresa even if they didn't have great common areas, it would have been cheaper or had better facilities than Selina South.

Selina is a stylish hostel. The programme was nice - and they had quite a schedule of different activities. The location is also really good and directly next to a supermarket.

The Hostel was super full and the room smaller than expected. It has a window right next to the bed with a see-through curtain – so no privacy at all. And please do something against all the doves. I had chosen to stay there because of the coworking space as I needed to work from Santa Teresa. They did not have space for their guests and charge an extra $24 a day.

The room designed beautifuly and nicely. There are so many activities at the Selinas (south and north) So do not miss any of them! The staff are amazing! The place was clean and quiet

Very friendly staff and good location. I specially came here to use the COWORK space but found out in had to pay more for it. So worked from the room instead. The internet worked well. The pool was nice and the yoga space. Most of the events are at Selina North if you’re looking for more things to do.

The COWORK space is not included if you have a room here even a private room, you have to pay more to use the space. Anyone can come and work from here. I suggest finding cheaper accommodation and then just using the COWORK space if needed. The shared bathroom say for guests only but are used by others working here which come for the coworker space which is kind of annoying. And busy during the day with people driving in and out to work but also seem to use all the facilities there so that’s annoying too.m as they aren’t staying there. I had people using the ya kw outside my room for a meeting. The rooms are a bit run down and need some work especially for the cost of the room. The fridge in the room is right beside the head if the bed so when it turns on it can wake you up. Maybe it’s in a better spot in other rooms. I also got bit the first night in the room I think by spiders as it took a few days for the swelling to go down.

We had a very nice room over two levels, everything clean, good beds, daily cleaning of room and fresh towels. Shared space (pool & kitchen) were clean, pool small but okay too cool down a bit in the heat. Staff generally friendly and helpful. Central location at Playa Carmen with beach access across the road and laundry service, surf school / rental, supermarket, gym, restaurants all within 5 mins of walking.

AC was only working on upper level and not strong enough to cool down the upper level during the day. Bathroom could be seen into, no curtains or anything to prevent view. Not all windows could be closed / opened. The lady that did our check-in was unfortunately extremely unapproachable and unhelpful, gave almost no information and seemed annoyed by questions.

Very good place if you're working as it's really calm st night, modern and the internet works great.

Not social, so not the right place for backpackers/solo travelers not working.

Clean room. Comfy beds. We stayed in the family room which had a loft - which was cool! Relaxing decor. Co-work space, pool and communal kitchen. Good location with the beach across the streets, surf shops nearby and grocery store next door. Only critique is that we paid $11 Canadian dollars for 3 small coffees. The food is overpriced at Selinas.

Very clean, and calm. If you are here to do some work and need a shared office it is the place to be.

Since most people are working, it is very calm and you feel a bit out of place being there for vacation.

I loved the facilities, shared kitchen and coworking were available and clean! They allowed us to use the pool at any time! Staff is very friendly

no indoor parking, Selina north is not as close, a shuttle would be nice

we booked a surfing lesson there, it was amazing :) the staff could speak english and was friendly good when you stay longer and use the other stuff there like a pool and rooms to work you could easily walk everywhere and had a lot of shops there.

Our expectation was higher when we saw that it has 2 stars, but it was a nice place. shared bathrooms and showers without splitting the genders. You could hear a lot from the neighbors and above you.

I didn't like that the shared bathroom was with males and females. It was very quiet and not a lot happening, whereas Selina North there was always something happening so it depends what you like.

perfect if you look for something more quiet or a coworking space

as it is in playa carmen it is a bit far from most things in santa teresa. but with an atv everything is easily accessible
